SIMPLE & TO THE POINT ... HOPEFULLY!

I realize I may have a lot to say, and in doing so ... I have attempted to explain 'My Dreams' and 'Desires' for JST KLSX that I have been working on for such a very long time.

However in doing so, it's become a 'Quest' in itself and sometimes a little confusing to some, and at times ... perhaps, a little 'wordy' in my attempts to 'Get that point across' to the reader and those who have been following along. I do apologize, but I do know why.

So, if you look at the picture of Mason Ramsey in 1984 and think of the message; "Have Always Been: Living the Oldies" - and "Right Here ... Right Now" I believe it will dawn on you that "Music for the Ages" means we are and have always been 'Connected' in this world ... and the unseen 'Realm' ... at least from my growing point of view.

The concept is and has always been evolving from the beginning of my career not only in 1974, but long before I entered the world in 1956. For I am and have been influenced by the 'World' that I am currently experiencing, from that time, to this time and moving into the future. It not only includes the music, but everything around us including the movies, advertising, politics - but another 'Realm' that is 'Unseen' and harder for some to fathom, including myself.

What does that mean? Simply this: I am creating a conceptual publishing, promotions, marketing and entertainment company that I believe to be 'All Inclusive' and covering a wide variety of paths that all 'Merge' into 'One' which is the 'Ebb and Flow' of our society, which is now globally mutual.

The obstacles we are faced with in this day and age of TIME, are based on ... not only the economic woes restricting 'Any one's Efforts' but to keep 'Pushing the Concept' in a world that 'Most People' do not realize what we are actually up against. It's a world governed by the 'Rules' of business and Investors who are wanting to make money, which is very understandable. But, it has to be done in a manner that will dictate every facet of any operation. So, it becomes a 'Game' of sorts to put together a 'Presentation' that not only will 'Protect' the concept and idea, but will 'Get that Point Across' and it does take a tremendous amount of effort through the skill of a professional, who knows what they're doing. Not only from a business accounting standpoint, but all of those other elements involved in starting a business. But, the bottom line: It's EITHER MONEY to do the JOB correctly, or people who are willing to put in the TIME and SWEAT EQUITY to do the job in bringing that 'Concept' to 'Light' in this hazardous present day TIME.

So when you get to a point in your career, when you are not moving up in a company and your ideas are being systematically taken from you, and you ... are not making a living to support your family or able to 'exist' in the career that you've chosen, because the 'Corporate World' has you pressed against the wall ... what other choice do you have, but to attempt to 'Do your Own Thing?'

So there it is ... you have to work within the boundaries of a world that already has the 'Market Cornered' in the hopes of presenting something new for the future, in an effort to at least 'Be in the Game' and to 'Make a Living' doing what you love and have a passion for in that career. Only we have to play 'Their Game' while gaining the confidence of not only 'The Masses of a Public' wanting the change while that 'Corporate World' is resistant to any new members to the club.

You see, it has been a work in progress for several years now, without making any money, because there is a belief that we're taking something that isn't being done, and bringing it into 'Reality' much like the image of this Root beer Mug with our LOGO on it ... it really does look as if we have an actual product of a Root beer mug, doesn't it?

How do I know ... because I have had people asking if they could purchase a few of these mugs. It is very flattering, but it really is the same thing when you're listening to JST KLSX and can actually hear 'MUSIC for the AGES' in a new FORMAT. People are tuning in and listening and asking for the music they are so missing from the 'Corporate' radio world.

The technology and distribution method is changing ... and I can see it, much less feel it ... and it does take the money, confidence and skill of the professionals developing the concept to 'Make it Happen!' Not only do we need you as a listener, we need your money and your skills ... and if you want to be involved as a listener or as an investor for the LOVE of your music, entertainment and information, it takes more of an understanding of the world around each and everyone ... because ... you are the one, who can 'Make a Difference' and it's not; just the one.

There I said it ... It takes more than one, but it's the ONE who gets the ball rolling, to kick it to others willing to kick it back.

ON THE BRINK & EDGE OF REALITY!

(Please, before you read this ... take into account the depth of thought ... from one to another ... without thinking I may be trodding off down the rabbit hole and that: I may be 'Tripping' on any substances.)

I have been trying to write an 'Article' that is 'All Inclusive' when it comes to 'The World' that we live in, which in 'My Opinion' is currently 'Dictating' everything that we do ... especially when it comes to music, movies, television, writing, socializing, politics, world affairs and networking in the 'One Cultural Mainstream.'

However, the problem is and always has been: not just ... me, but also you too. The primary responsibility will always 'Fall at Your Feet' for it is 'Your World' from 'Your Point of View.' And if YOU don't like it ... begin to change it, but start with yourself ... FIRST!

What does this have to do with radio? Everything! Knowing that it has all of the elements of every single aspect of publishing and LIFE as we know it! This includes the 'State of Affairs' in the U.S. and World Politics as well .... it can't be helped.

You see, I have been on more than just an educational journey, it has become a spiritual quest of learning through TIME, and the constant question; when will all that I have been working toward begin to make sense in the future? Why have I chosen to involve myself in a career that began all those years ago, and to what level will it 'Come to Light' even as I go 'Fumbling Along' ... grasping at my 'Instinctual Feelings' of being in the world, and how is it going to unfold; as it should? Why not the present? I thought everyone else thought this way ... but slowly coming to that understanding: they don't!

And, while the world around me is 'Spinning Away' and I am still working to make 'Sense' out of it all, it just seems to want to 'Spin Wildly' ... especially when it comes to dealing with the other entities on this planet and in this universe.

Even as it seems 'Chaotic' --- I don't believe it is anymore, and this I know; OPINIONS are as subjective as the music, movies and politics around each person ... until those OPINIONS are 'HEAPED' upon another without their approval and 'Forced Against Their Will' to accept how another 'Soul' chooses to act or behave in their 'Attempts' in becoming dominate. Just like any society, big business and Government/s. The problem remains; very few have 'Understanding' and live for 'Self Preservation' while fighting for control of the 'World' in their 'Own Right' while living in the 'Realm' and 'Reality' of what others may believe, without 'Treading' on 'Their Rights.'

We're all the same, but different. Much like the experiences that I have been 'Conveying' to those around me without really trying to do any 'HEAPING' of that 'Opinion' on others ... but only to give those others 'Pause to think' and to understand 'What I am trying to accomplish' with my intentions and goals, even as I fashion them from 'My Dreams and Imagination!' ONLY ... what I do, write and convey can, does and has meaning on the 'Psyche' of others and can, does and will come back to give me ... even more to contemplate ... much less you. How do I know? Because I am living the concept and dealing with the 'Fallout' of those actions through the misunderstanding of others. It's just the way the world works ... and we have to deal with it. There's no such thing as a misunderstanding when you have conscious thought and communication, unless you're dealing with the 'Hate' and 'Ignorance' of others who often feel slighted in 'their' world because 'They do not have that understanding.' And what is really amazing? I didn't come up with it, but do understand it ... and why the world around us, uses 'it' against 'Us' everyday.

What does this mean to me or JST KLSX - www.RockandRollHeaven.net - How does this mean anything? It means something because of what 'I' am going through to 'Make it Happen' while dealing with the other 'Elements' in the 'World' affecting ... 'My World' and hopefully giving 'You' pause to consider those things unseen by 'You' because I have been 'Telling You' what I've been going through to 'Make it Happen.' But, are you paying attention? Some are ... some are not.

Because in ''My World' - it is all 'Relative' to me, and will 'Affect' you on some level. And 'If' it's all 'Relative' to me, then 'It' must affect you ... if 'you' come within the 'Orbital and Gravitational' pull of 'My World.' (I can already see the response coming from the 'Gladys Crabbits' of the world, who don't have the slightest inc ling on how to interpret 'the meaning' of what is being said.) Please don't be offended, it's something that takes a little to understand, if you have a 'Want' and 'Desire' to understand what the messenger is hoping to convey. I too am still working on that 'Understanding' so don't feel bad. I am just as clueless ... but wanting and desiring to Understand.

It all has to do with 'My Efforts' in projecting JST KLSX and the other projects in my LIFE onto the 'World Stage' because I don't know what else to do, except what I like and want to do in LIFE. I have come to the conclusion that NO ONE is going to give me 'That Opportunity' unless I can Do what 'I feel is the right thing' and with that comes; programming a radio station, writing and producing what I believe to be quality projects for a 'Cultural Mainstream' that makes sense to me ... and those like minded 'Souls' around me who enjoy LIFE as I have come to believe it to be.

We already know the world has been 'Spinning Along' with you and I while 'We' both have been 'Bumping Along' picking up those bits and pieces of knowledge 'Emerging' as a 'Reality' and 'Truth' to some, and to another ... totally 'Incomprehensible!'

With that in mind, the 'Truth' and that 'Reality' of an environment that I, myself have been creating for 'My World' has largely consisted of a 'Dream' to be productive, creative, inspirational and 'Self Sufficient' in a publishing world that attracts an audience receptive to not only quality entertainment, but an audience who can count on the 'Truth' without having to question the motives of an organization with ulterior motives.

While people should always question the events in 'Their World' - I am becoming more of a believer everyday in the 'Reasons' of events on the 'The Bigger Picture' although I cannot see it from where I am sitting. Hoping that 'My Actions' may result in helping to 'Paint a Greater Portrait' in the World and Universe I am inhabiting in this 'Realm' and the 'Realm Above Me.' I am already POSITIVE that some of the actions from my decisions have and are affecting even 'One Person' who have taken 'Great Offence' when none has ever been intended ... yet ... it remains that person's desire to become 'Greater' in the Minds of others without comprehending 'their' own self importance and lack thereof. But, that remains 'Their' Choice!'

For reasons beyond my mortal comprehension, and really only beginning to understand that; there have been things happening that stem from my 'Actions' when I have made decisions to 'Move Forward' with 'Plans' toward the future, and it's come 'Under Fire' merely because it affects another's 'Reality.'

I have been wanting to 'Get the Point Across' about the future of 'Our World' but have run into those obstacles, and the idea of being 'Self Aware' is all to alluring. I know this to be true, when those persons whom I refer to as the 'Gladys Crabbits' of the world (a pseudonym for sentinels of the Fake World) and who seemingly are 'attracted' by the world of another, but realize they may be just nothing more than a dead satellite orbiting the planet.

So with that in mind, consider for a moment of being included in the whole of JST KLSX - America's Coast to Coast. It all remains an idea of 'Bringing Back' those 'Times' when you and I grew up in a time of innocence, where nothing has really changed ... except our perception of the 'World' around us.

In deed, things appear more advanced and sophisticated, but are they really? It seems the 'produced' world is becoming more of a Tsunami building to crash against the shores of human civilization. Perhaps that is what awaits us in the not so distant future. How are we to know since we've only been mortally here for as long as you've been walking the planet. Or could we open ourselves to a greater understanding of a 'Time,' 'Space,' 'Dimension' and GOD above us?

The more I look around me ... everyday in this 'World' the more I realize how much I remain as puzzled in a realization of understanding that; 'We' all are nothing more than a 'Memory' on the 'Edge of Reality' ... in the pursuit of happiness. (Buck Owens)

WOW! Imagine that! Can you, or anyone 'Grasp' those moments that we've once shared? Can 'You' stop for just 'One' of those meditative moments; in those moments of 'Your' 'LIFE' that have been shared with family, friends, strangers and even those we haven't met, to 'Believe' that 'We' are but part of 'One' equation, and have been all along? And when I say 'One,' I mean 'Yours' and mine, which equal 'Ours.’

You and I are, and have been sharing the same thing ... all of 'Our' lives ... the Earth; in this dimensional Time and Space. It's enough to 'Make you Jump Up ... Make You Crazy' (Pit Bull featuring Lil' Jon') ... "Boom Boom, I'm Gonna Make Em' Go Crazy ... Your Mama She Gets Crazy!"

Notice how I can include the 'Music' from across 'TIME' into the message? Will you contemplate the possibility from 'My Point of View' that 'You' and 'I' have been living in the same realm all of our lives?

The Realm? 'The World' and, from any 'Point of View' still makes it 'Crazy' (Patsy Cline) especially when you look at what is going on, when 'We' cannot 'Come Together' (The Beatles) for the sake of of a 'Race of Human Beings' no matter what culture 'You' come from ... or from 'Where' you are in the Realm.

There is really no way of 'Expressing Yourself,' without 'Exposing Yourself' to ridicule and controversy. It is a fact that we cannot deny.

When I came into this world, I never knew I was here, existed; or much less thought about it! And now understanding, that I didn't begin to really think of it until things started happening that I have attributed 'That Understanding' to the 'Broad Experiential Experiences' which became that experience and; ‘Understanding Reality’ and boy have I gotten some great lessons.

We have been exposed to the same fundamental principals that govern 'LIFE' ... only in my humble opinion; we have been separating ourselves 'Culturally' and to a greater extent ... 'Socially.'

The 'Purpose and Intent' in today's world means only 'One' thing, which actually compounds itself by the square root of the integer: We must be of the same mind.

Only ... we're not! It goes something like this (Paraphrasing); 'Most will choose the wrong way, only a few will choose the right way.' But, we are all ... "RIGHT HERE ... RIGHT NOW!" Otherwise you wouldn't be reading this and contemplating a response.

SIRIUS XM! ARE YOU SERIOUS?

A tremendous amount of effort has been put forth, when it comes to 'getting through' to people while 'connecting' to people in the 'World' about a 'Concept' for a 'Targeted Audience' that is really as evolving ... as the 'People' in this LIFE itself! Of course I'm talking about 'OUR' radio, JST KLSX, its music and all of the things surrounding that music and radio ... since we've been ... here on the planet ... with the 'People.'

I hope that sort of 'Sums' it up, because in my mind; it is that simple! The simplicity is that 'Baby Boomers' from 1946 thru 1964 are the audience members who are traversing the 'Timeline' of Music in LIFE that does and has 'documented' their memories ... in all of the Hugh Montenegro qualities in this LIFE ... the "GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY!"

I'm speaking of course about radio broadcasting first and foremost, but also I am including all of the things surrounding that industry, which connect ... not only the listener on a music level, but on a 'Plain of Existence' that encompasses 'their' lives in every aspect of 'their' lives, including; connecting with the likes of 'The Individual.' How? It is the movies, sports, news and entertainment of other people which is compounded with every other person in this LIFE because it is the 'people' who find that 'Connectedness' in those other people who are living on the planet through radio, television, movies or even here on the 'Blog' much less being connected through the new 'Social Networking' sites popping up everywhere!

It is this very 'Philosophical Ideal' that keeps me moving, especially when I run into 'Individuals' like Julie Gebauer from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. It was Julie who sent me an e-mail saying, "Mason, do you mind if I write to SIRIUS / XM Satellite about you and your programming?"

"Why no, I don't mind," because I do want to "Get to where I'm going with this Format" and it was with that, that Julie began 'her' 'Grass Roots' movement with SIRIUS / XM Satellite who responded to 'her' constant letters to get someone to notice 'Mason Ramsey's JST KLSX - America's Coast to Coast Entertainment Network. Is it possible to get some notice by a company that is partitioned into more than two hundred channels for listeners? What a great idea! And it worked ... but, can we see it come into existence? I say it can, once we get that 'Someone' to grasp that same 'feeling' that Julie and others have gotten from their 'Desire to listen' and to see it become that 'New Format for the Future.'

Although Julie subscribes to SIRIUS / XM Satellite, she has been tuning in and listening to JST KLSX and 'Music for the Ages!' What a great testament it is when you have someone writing on your behalf and actually getting a response from one of the largest music providers in the world, who are asking for 'Samples' of Mason Ramsey's JST KLSX.

You see, it's people just like Julie who I believe can pick up on the feeling that; she can sense 'There is someone who really enjoys being on the radio' while at the same time recognizing the 'Quality and Versatility' of not only the Music, but the 'feeling' that it leaves with her.

I don't want to seem as if I'm 'stuck in the past' - but, I have to say' "It has been a tale beginning before 2004, but really from the inception long ago from a 'Concept' of music and entertainment from a career beginning in 1974, that makes all the sense in the world today; especially when it comes to the entertainment world."

You see, I want to be 'Doin' My Thang on the radio' so to speak --- almost kind of like the 'Pleasure Thang' - because ... it just feels 'Good!' There is nothing like it in the world, when you're able to have people tuning into a five hour program, playing music, talking to the people and 'putting all of the pieces' together. When it's done right: "It's Magic! And, it's what gives me the goose bumps!"

But here's the problem; "We're living in a world that is partitioning and micro-managing every segment of our lives in controlling, what we see, hear and feel.' The time has come for someone to offer something that allows you and I to experience our lives from the past, present and the future, without having to lose the most important factor ... the 'Human Connection.'

Feeling that we are 'All Connected' and have been 'connecting' through the course of 'Time' ... has given all of us a chance to meet wonderful people along the way on this journey, which brings me to where I am today; pushing a 'Concept' that I've grown to believe is 'Going to Work' because there are too many people who agree, saying to themselves ... "I am so looking for a radio station that can take me through LIFE" without having to constantly 'Keep Searching for the bit's and pieces' through a broad spectrum, that is really so very narrow.' I have seen the 'Concept' work before, and there's no reason that it cannot work in today's world. What's really changed? TIME!

Here's what I think is the 'Irony' of the 'Concept' ... I believe to be unfolding: Little Layla, who is four years old says; "Uncle Mason, they Call this the old stuff? Well it's new to me and I like it!"

Think of that for one second. Even as I was 'Born in the Fifties' - the 'Abbott & Costello' movies, Benny Goodman and the entertainment before 1956 was 'New to Me too!' And it's still 'New to Me' as it 'Still is Unfolding' from the Past to the Present. That thought, sort of makes me feel like I am Marlon Brando in 'Apocalypse Now' rubbing his forehead uttering; "It was like a shot, a diamond - Lightening Bolt striking me ... right between the eyes." (paraphrasing)
The Classic Roots of Rock and Roll, Country, Easy Listening, Big Band or music and entertainment in GENERAL takes on a 'New Feeling' when there is a 'Blend of Music' from the 'Past to the Present' - but, it will take people with that 'Desire' to 'See it all come to fruition.' And so ... it's that 'Faith' in knowing "This is happening for a greater purpose, and I'm just doing my part to see it work."

Now if we can move toward the 'Concept' of having those like minded 'Radio Personalities' who can help 'Make the Connection' with listeners 'All Across the Country' SIRIUS / XM Satellite radio --- there remains "'No Doubt in my Mind' that it would be the 'Biggest Thing' in not just the United States, but the World.'"

I can envision 'Music for the Ages" as one of the 'Music Channels' as JST KLSX on SIRIUS / XM Satellite or on 'Affiliate Radio Stations' across the country, but I know it does take planning, organizing and people to 'Make it Happen' and those are the people who believe ... or "I'm living a very 'Constructive Fantasy!'

HERE IT IS - FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH!

After my last 'Blog Posting' I had to stop; and make this attempt for some 'unknown reason' in at least trying to explain, after the fallout with the last 'Blog' with some of the responses, that have 'touched the nerve' of a couple of people, and ultimately have lost those supporters, but: I know that's the way it goes - because people are 'close minded' and it's already been proven that; 'people are resistant to change' no matter how good it is for them, or how much it may hurt others, and I am no better when it comes to 'That Understanding;' I am sorry for that, but it remains out of my 'control' because I wrote from my 'Heart' and from the experiences that I have been 'going through' ... only it was something that; those few found incomprehensible and flies in the face of 'Their Reasoning' even as I come to what I believe to be: a better understanding. (It doesn't make me better, it just makes me different in my comprehension and knowledge.)

When I began 'doing' what I thought was the 'Right Thing' in 'The World' - it was with a purpose and belief that; I had a dream and passion for 'writing,' 'being on the radio' and a real desire to propel some of the projects that I had been working on into the 'Cultural Mainstream.' Mostly because I could see that 'The World was closing in around me' and I could feel the pressure with no real place to turn. Not really being able to 'make a living' doing what I had been working toward since my career began in 1974, but increasingly being 'Placed in a Box' to conform to this ever changing world by 'Playing the Same Tunes ... Over and Over' while 'Lying' to the listening audience that I would 'Play their Request' knowing that 'it' (the song) wasn't even in the control room, and I could 'Risk losing my job' if I 'Didn't Follow the Rules.' But now I know; it really was for my own 'self gratification' for a place in the world and to do 'What I wanted to do, and to play what I wanted to play' ... because 'it was right and it just felt good' ... and it was music that I felt was being 'Left behind' and it was a thought that - we're moving 'through time' why can't the music?

I know that I wanted to 'Be a Part' of what I could see 'going on around me,' and knowing that I could be every bit as good, not only as a writer - but also as someone who enjoyed being on the radio, loved movies ... and wanted to be a greater part of that existence. I thought it was because I was so disappointed in seeing what was being produced, not only on the radio ... but in the movies and the nonsensical 'crap' that I could see being 'programmed' to the 'Populace' and I still feel like that; There's just a lot of 'crap' being produced and I believe I can do better. Why shouldn't I have that chance in this LIFE?

There was and still is something inside of me that is telling me, that; 'The path is growing narrower' much like the narrowing play lists and programming of radio stations who are dictating the play lists through their economic and powerful means. I know there is something very wrong with that future, and felt that there must be some 'Freedoms' left with the 'New World' but we would have to 'adventure out on our own.' It's not something new, since human beings have been doing it for hundreds of years, even when America broke away from Britain to begin a 'New World' free from the tyranny of a government that was oppressing its people.

Whew! When a person begins to 'speak from the heart' it becomes more of a problem, when it does not fit into the idealistic world of others, who have been programmed to believe 'their LIFE' as they know it ... and suddenly that; may have not been exactly what they thought it was ... all along.

From the experience of living in the world that I am creating, and after 'pulling back the curtain' to see that; the 'GREAT WIZARD' has been an illusion from the moment that I came into this mortal existence. This I do know; from what I've been 'experiencing' with the Justice system and the Corporate world ... I'm getting a good 'Hard' lesson and there must be a 'Good Reason' for the things I have been experiencing, because they are NOT making not making any sense in the 'World' that I've been conditioned to believe existed ... at least in the 'Common Sense' realm that I've come to rationalize as being 'The Common Sense of it all' which is why the very first book I have been writing will have the title "The UnCommon Sense of a Common Man or the Common Sense of an UnCommon Man" once I get that far.

From one moment to the next, it has almost begun to be more and more of a challenge to even keep trudging along to 'keep any semblance' of the truth, when so many in the World are so willing to 'accept' what 'they believe to be' the 'authority' and there should be no questioning that fact. When any person who believes with conviction the TRUTH and has the evidence that is supported by the WORLD, yet is consistently 'made to believe' that what he is seeing and experiencing is 'Not the Truth' even as it 'Glares at them from the written law of the land' then it becomes more of a quest to 'rationalize the truth' to others, if not to 'maintain a person's own sanity!'

It remains that frustrating effort when 'The Truth' is so evident while most are willing to believe 'The Lie' mainly because it's easier to 'Go Along' and to 'Accept it' because they're, in their mind 'helpless' to do anything about it ... and so becomes easier to criticize and understand the 'Bigger Lie' - and to me ... it seems unacceptable, and goes against the very core and nature of 'right and wrong' in a 'person's (human being's) LIFE.

In the learning process, Epistemology - I personally have asked, through my research to find the answers and definitions ... because I want to know;

• What is knowledge?
• How is knowledge acquired?
• How do we know what we know?

Epistemology focuses on analyzing the nature of knowledge and how it relates to connected notions such as truth, belief, and justification. It also deals with the means of production of knowledge, as well as skepticism about different knowledge claims.

It is the same research that I've done in Music, radio, TV, writing and the legal issues that I am currently plagued with, because it affects my situation, not only as person, human being ... but as an American ... and what I'm finding is simply this; WE ARE BEING FENCED IN --- slowly and surely and the people are slow to wake up and see what is happening. While I'm writing I'm listening to the re-make of the political anthem from Buffalo Springfield, "For What it's Worth" and that RINGS TRUE today as it did all those years ago. if not more so NOW!

And what's the song that is following on JST KLSX? - Jackie DeShannon's "Put a Little Love in Your Heart."

I have only asked for people to 'Believe' not just in me, (although it would be nice) but the 'Nature' of the world around us, because in the simplicity of my mind ... albeit I believe in GOD as the CREATOR of the UNIVERSE, and Jesus Christ - I still believe that you and I have a 'Role to Play' in the 'Plan' and it remains a purposeful plan. "We didn't get Dressed up for Nutin." (Braveheart)

I know that no matter what we do in this world, we're not going to please everyone, because there really are two sides to the coin ... a right and a wrong. I explained to someone the other day; "we live on a planet that has two poles, a north and a south pole ... so we really are living on a bi-polar planet" ... and boy does that ever make sense! It remains the same for each and every man and woman on this planet.

People are ridiculed for their beliefs everyday ... but when it comes right down to it; it's their world and they can believe how ever they want to believe ... love any kind of music, food, people or vices they like ... but; it is what it is! I'm sorry to lose a friend over such trivial issues, but if that's how they choose to believe, whose to argue with them? I can only tell you what I'm experiencing at the hands of a World intent on keeping you 'Fenced in' and if you don't know what I'm going through without all of the 'FACTS' before judging me, then SHAME on you - for "What Bodes ill for 'Jack Sparrow' bodes ill for us all!" Get it? (you and I)

"NOW IS THE WINTER OF OUR DISCONTENT"

There remains a 'Strong' almost an overwhelming need and continued desire to express 'that' ... 'desire' to 'get the point' across ... on this ... this thing that I seem to be involved in, called; Radio / Entertainment. So please ... take a moment to 'Change the Channel' now because, I am going to address a lot of different issues that may seem to 'jump' from one thing to another, which will be an article a little longer than usual, but in my mind ... a Thesis (all) connected to the primary issue; radio, entertainment, publishing ... its audience and LIFE in general. But keep in mind, I am an uneducated man in the sense of today's society, so what I say ... you should heed only with a 'Grain of Salt!' (Seriously ... stop reading now for your own sanity!)

One of the primary reasons for me to start a radio station, as much as being a writer was to: set out on a quest to enjoy the 'Freedoms' that were afforded me, long before I was born, but came to a beginning and understanding after ten years into my career as a radio personality, which I attribute to the 'Real Beginning' of my 'So Called' career in the spring of 1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

A career move in that year spoiled me in more ways than just one. There was an ideology that, even within the structure in a format for a new radio station KLCY94FM - there was a 'freedom' to 'connect' to the audience, move music around, take phone calls, produce topical information and place it into the programming that; kept things moving forward, while giving those listening 'that feeling' it was all ... 'Fresh' and 'Exciting.' For all intensive purposes, the management allowed the 'personality' to 'craft' the 'Feeling' of the format to keep that 'Feeling' in tact. Aside from that little bit of programming, the management still maintained a strict play list, designed only for the 'target audience' which was, at the time: a 32 year old female, who according to the research, made all of the decisions for the household. It was in my job description to 'Woo' that female, and 'give her what she wanted,' the; fantasy of 'dropping out' of the rat race, and slipping into another world that, as a personality ... I was creating that world ... only for her. It remains my belief ... nothing has changed.

Although I had been in radio for nearly ten years before Salt Lake City, it was my first major market radio station. I was one of nine personalities chosen in a search across the country, to put the radio station onto the map. It was an exciting time for me, because I was hired by a Corporation who showed me what it was like to be treated as a 'valued member' of a team of professionals. At the time, I did not realize that I was the only one, who had never been in Major Market before, and the one with the least experience, however afterward I learned that I was hired for several reasons; the quality and timber of my voice, personality and creativity, that began to 'focus' more on the emerging picture. I was but a small piece of the 'overall plan' but a piece of the puzzle that brought the picture into focus. I know there is nothing new here, but realize something seemingly to be constantly 'pushed aside' in the evolution of our 'Human Existence' that wants to 'Quell' the furtherance of our doctrines established those many years ago by our ancestors - the founding fathers, and colonist who left the sanctity of their world in search of the 'New Beginnings and Way of LIFE.'

It was that period in 1983 that left an impression on me that I still haven't been able to shake: that, in a round about way begin to teach me about those 'Freedoms' from a major company that was paying for my move, setting up my family and LIFE and getting me adjusted to new surroundings. It was awe inspiring, and now I can see, after that experience ... how a business can be dedicated to the ideology of a project in a marketplace, to make a commitment to 'winning' and dominating the market. Although I saw it from a different angle at the time, I can now see that it took so much more planning and organizing 'behind the scenes' to bring that 'developmental ideology' to existence. But, it wasn't something new, although it was a turning point in my LIFE as there are those 'points' in every one's ... if they choose to pay attention to them. (Most people already get that basic inference ... but choose not to take it further, because they're all much too wrapped up in the 'Moment' - I was no different) Hopefully I will be able to bridge the connection, but at that time and this, it will remain an experience that makes up more of how I came to be where I am currently. Seems simple enough, but not really. I too was 'Playing the Game' but still had no clue, even though I knew 'They Were the Bosses!'

Being 'Wrapped up in the moment' is what was as appealing and the 'Hook' to a broader 'New Awakening' only I wasn't paying attention as much as 'Being Involved' in the community in ways that weren't as clear then but are now: and now, just as important in this day and age ... only now on a much grander scale. The management's connections to the local businesses wanting to be as involved with the radio station, to 'connect' to that 'target audience' for that most obvious of reasons and always ... money! While I wasn't making the kind of money that 'Big Time' radio / entertainment people were capable of commanding, it did give me some of the 'Perks' with my involvement ... mainly because I was being 'Handled' as part of my reward, so I could reach a point wherein the radio station could maximize its potential for market domination. (Of course that's a no brainer and the 'Duh Factor!')

Realizing that it sounds a bit 'Trite' it has led to that 'lust' for educational awareness, at least for me because there is something in my brain that makes me ask repeatedly; "Why did those things happen the way they happened?"

And so, while I continue to muddle along, it slowly becomes apparent that I am having more clarity in my thoughts, or could be just still 'Gumping Along!' There have been more than a few people who have accused me of being saddled with A.D.D., since my thoughts, as much as having a whole lot of passion are responsible for those decisions, which have given other's an opinion that; 'this guy, while interesting' is not one of the normals.

I know this is true, (not being normal) because I've been accused of it far too many times, so I'm going with the percentages as being a notch on the bar, that I've managed to clear ... easily. Even though I did not get through College, my education has been on-going for years, and has taught me that; as a society we have been 'clickish' ... but for want of a better explanation, it also has taught me that it has everything to do with the genetics, bloodlines and very importantly ... the environment.

Growing up a 'Commoner' in a sense as a 'Military Brat' born in the South, but living in various regions of the country as a child, including the West, Mid West ... living in the Orient as a pre-teen, and the formidable years in the beautiful but rugged Alaskan wilderness, if you want to call Anchorage, Alaska wilderness - and you can ... continues to 'Shape my thoughts' on the World I'm inhabiting.

I hope I haven't lost you yet, knowing that I am purposely winding my way through a series of anecdotal, and some may seem trivial nonsense ... but I know that: it has tremendous purpose, when a person begins to 'Wipe Away the Sleep from their Eyes' to see the World as it really is, after 'Not Paying Attention' in those most important years as a child and mis-spent youth. I feel it VERY important to 'tell you' because it is important to me now ... hoping for a 'Better Understanding' of the 'Man' behind the 'Cause.' I continue to look for the clarity and understanding, while possibly 'Sharing the Thoughts' to those who will come to be involved in the 'New Age Mind' in changing the way 'We' believe in 'Our' existence' But who really knows until the 'Moment' presents itself?

But having parents who were as un-educated in the world (and I don't mean any disrespect) because they too were mislead into believing the World worked in a certain way ... that made all that much more sense to them into some of the more obvious 'Rights and Wrongs,' 'Working' and 'Obeying' but also a little something 'They' instilled within me that came from 'Their' upbringing and those ancestors which are likely causing me to question; not only the authority but the 'Common Sense' applications as they appear in this 'Reality.' I can reason that 'My Past Reality' through time may have me focusing in on the: Theory of Morphogenetics or a String Theory of Existence which may be shaping my future in the 'Cosmic' sense.

I hope I'm not losing you, because I am gathering the momentum to bring about an understanding that; this conceptual idea of being a radio station/publishing entity, as much as being a writer, producer, director or whatever it is that I am doing ... has all been a part of the 'Grand Plan' even if I did not know it ... at least consciously. You see, I had no desire to be in radio at the time, but it was something that came about through a series of events that were placed in front of me, allowing me to 'Drift' into a field that I did find exciting, and at the same time overwhelmingly scary. Over the years it's been more mystical as I look back at the opportunities in taking advantage of advancement, but being too 'immature, 'frightened' or most likely and the best possible reason was; being un-educated and sophisticated to act on the opportunity.

Even as I believe in the 'Free Will' and GOD (The Holy Trinity) I also believe in the metaphysical interconnectedness of the 'Entire Universe' that encompasses that 'Science,' 'Astrology,' 'Mathematical,' 'Vibrational Frequencies' and anything involving the 'Electromagnetism' of 'Time and Space' that are GOD, you and me ... at the same time. The LAW of Attraction. Although I do not hesitate in telling you and knowing that; I am nothing more than a 'simpleton' whose idea was to 'Do My Thing' because I didn't believe that I was relegated to working for 'The Man' in a system that is constantly oppressing, what I feel were / are my personal rights and freedoms at the cost of making them 'Rich' while I 'Slaved' to keep up in an ever changing world. You see ... it doesn't make sense to me.

Scientist describe Morphogenetic fields not merely as incipient structures or organs, but as Dynamic Entities with their own localized developmental processes, which are central to the emerging field of evolutionary development – and that; is what is happening in ‘My World’ as I see it unfolding.

There is a 'Shift in the Paradigm' and it has been raging far longer than you and I have been on this 'Plane of Human Existence' . Although I do get the feeling more so now, than ever that, 'We Have Been' here longer than we as Human beings can remember ... only in a slightly different plane of Existence. Using 'My Brain' has become more of a quest in search of the answer to the questions plaguing not just mankind, but me personally not only in a religious application, but through a scientific application; Einstein's 'Theory of Relativity' which has led to Max Planck and others, but again ... I am uneducated and a simpleton. Perhaps only wishing to be accepted as 'bourgeoisie' but in this society, or World ... I did not play the game from 'Whence I came.' (Meaning; born into the wrong class, by blood and not paying attention to the environment when I got here - or, inspired to 'Get the Message' from that early age.) But, it's not too late!

However, I'm not so sure we as a 'Mass' of people (Americans) are recognizing it as fast as we should, because we are still being 'led,' 'controlled' and 'chained' into submission, one by one ... when we have been given the 'keys' to our freedom but fail to use them; not only to our individual advantage but as 'whole race of people.' And, it's not just Americans.

In fact, when we do begin to use the 'keys' and 'knowledge' as 'One' we are often intimidated into a belief that the individual exercising those rights "Must be a crazy fanatical" for thinking 'Outside of the Box.' And, sadly as Plato and others have said in history; it is true.

So when John Steinbeck's last novel in 1961 was published - "The Winter of Our Discontent," the title is a reference to the line "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son [or sun] of York," from William Shakespeare's Richard III, which came back to 'Bite' British Prime Minister James Callaghan in the ass when his term was 'Dubbed' with the same title in 1978 - 1979 all because of the 'Trials and Tribulations' of the working man caught up in the labor disputes during that bleak and bleary winter during when there were widespread strikes by local authority trade unions demanding larger pay rises for their members, because the Labor government of James Callaghan sought to hold a pay freeze to control inflation. "Gotta keep the man in his place!"

So what has changed? In the course of human existence, men have been seeking to control other men for their 'own' self gratification and gain ... the GREED of the few over the despair of the many.

It is to this end, that I had been 'pushing' my agenda with the help of a small group of individuals in creating a radio station / publishing entity that could possibly break out of that cycle of 'Corporate Controllism' which undoubtedly leads to poverty for most, because has been destroying 'Capitalism' in its purest form, which is competition in a 'Free Market.'

But, I am a small potato without the resources presently, because ... I don't have the educational background, and as far as I know ... the genetic bloodline, even as I keep striving for the 'prize' ... wondering; 'What difference does it make?'

But while I look to the future, I struggle with the presence of MIND that GOD / the UNIVERSE does have a plan with both YOU and I in it ... and this is not being done in vain. I have to BELIEVE that WE will be able to exist on this plane and it may be causing a greater destiny to unfold for the existence of Human Kind, and for whatever reason "We're Going to Play A Major Role."

... I want to remain a 'Free Man' to live doing what I LOVE, in a country that will allow me the ability to communicate openly under the SUPREME LAW of the LAND that was formed by a CONTRACT called the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES and nothing less than being ALLOWED to LIVE as our forefathers and GOD intended; "LIFE, LIBERTY & THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS!"

Every now and then a mutation occurs, and it could be that; we're experiencing a NEW WORLD coming to LIFE, but not the one of being saddled with a burden of oppression. It was one of the reasons that I believe we're 'Creating' a radio station/publishing entity that may have its own purpose in the ultimate WILL, and some call it GOD'S WILL - since I couldn't stand being 'regimented' by the authority of having to be 'Placed inside the Structure of Rules and bound by the Authority.' Although, I am NOT an ANARCHIST! We do live by rules governing a society, just not the ones meant for the few over the many.

In summation; I know we have to LIVE by social standards and cannot infringe on the rights of others, but I can only continue in the 'Faith' that there is a 'Desitination' and 'Purpose' unfolding, and it's not my vanity pushing to surpass that of any other, but only to enlist your continued support in this quest for a new company that will help deliver a measure of contentment. I need your help, and want your support ... I need your trust.

the problem is: it's JUST TOO DAMN AGGRAVATING trying to explain what I want to do ... without the financial resources to do it ... because ... people are 'CHAINED to THEIR EXISTENCE' and afraid to 'STEP Up and OUT!' I think I have ... but maybe I'm that cartoon character ... running over the cliff, hanging in mid air, for a split second, holding up the sign ... with the expression on my face of "OHhhhh DAMN!"

WE'RE STILL HERE ... BUT WHY?

I guess I've been trying to answer my own question for the longest time ... while beating around the bush in hopes that an answer would 'show itself.' "We're Still Here ... But Why?"

There was a question asked last week through one of the social networks, and it was simply this; "Does anyone read your blogs other than me?"

I had to ask myself, 'hmmm, I wonder if people really are, and if people are actually listening to this radio station that I've called JST KLSX?'

I know there are 'lots' of loyal people who are listening to this station, but I've also been told that: "You're not a real radio station, because you're not broadcasting through the airwaves, and actually on a radio station/s that has a 'real audience' that makes a difference (Meaning hundreds of thousands) because you're ... only one of thousands of small people in a large world."
I know I can only see 'it' from my own point of view, and know why I'm going through the 'trials and tribulations' of getting a radio station started, and it's this: I am fed up with the crap that I am being fed by the 'mainstream' media, and that includes ... not only music but the whole damn thing that comes from LIFE and that includes my conceptual ideas of not only LIFE but radio, entertainment and publishing ... from my professional point of view.

Being a dreamer is and has been nothing more than a hassle, and often times, I have felt like giving into being placid ... but I just can't do it! There is something inside of me that pushes me to ask questions, and to step forward for some mystical reason, but I've had my eyes opened and the curtain drawn back to expose the 'Wizard' and I have to tell you ... I don't like it!

For all of the reasons in the world, I know what it takes to make it work ... and it really isn't rocket science! However, it does take one person to at least 'step up' and put forward the effort without 'falling in line' as one of the sheep's ... but, when someone is doing what they LOVE to do ... then it should make all the difference in the world. The problem is only that there is more to me, than just the music ... it's the idea of being able to play the music, while speaking my mind ... understanding the 'freedoms' of the world, much less the country that I was born into ... and propagandized into believing that it worked a certain way ... and now I know that: it doesn't work that way ... at all.

I am someone who really believes that: it can work the way that I've envisioned it ... only I know that I am up against the monolith of a corporate ideology that wants to keep 'us' enslaved and I am pretty sure that is why I have charted a course, with the help of the unseen forces in my LIFE that are guiding us to something greater. At least ... it's what I want to believe.

I offer my apologies to you and those of you, who have been following along for a length of time, knowing that I often been trying to get my message across without having to 'come right out and say it' because; (people for the most part ... now wanting to hurt any one's feelings) only care about what's in front of them, and not how it got there. It's no one's fault, because it's the world that we live in, and it's how things have been for a very long time ... but I've always felt that; I could make a difference. But, I've learned, it's not just me that is going to make a difference ... it has to be a nucleus of others who are just as like minded and passionate.

It really is a good concept of 'Music for the Ages' but it's more than that; it's our LIVES that we've lived in the past that will make our future ... and that takes; time, resources and the people to see it come together ... otherwise we've become complacent by allowing the 'bigger' entity of our past to rule our future. This country (and I use 'this country' - because we are at fault) is NOT too BIG to FAIL, but it can FAIL because it is too BIG! That's why we need to do what we're doing and NEED people like you to know ... 'WHY WE'RE STILL HERE!' I just cannot give up believing that; this company ... America's Coast to Coast doesn't have a good chance to do something GREAT!

It is a concept for a small company with BIG ideas, in a country who now ONLY want you to buy from WALMART, TARGET, HOME DEPOT or LOWES ... or listen to ONE of the mainstream MEDIA networks. And, THAT is DANGEROUS ideology which slowly ROBS you and I of our freedoms in maintaining our ability to speak much less listen to the MUSIC and INFORMATION that we choose from an INDEPENDENT network. If it sounds political ... it should, because you wouldn't be hearing what you want ... without first speaking your mind and asking yourself; 'WHY?"

You know what we need ... and so do I ... we have to become one of the CORPORATE entities, without falling victim to their STUPIDITY. It almost sounds hypocritical, but it really is very simple ... big BUSINESS does NOT know what their left hand is doing, while their right hand is oblivious to the left ... only I BELIEVE leadership can know ... if they really wanted to know. They only turn a blind eye ... because they're greedy and don't want to take care of their people. It's SIMPLE we can make the change and be different, and that's 'WHY' 'WE'RE STILL HERE.' I want to make a change.

WHO KNOWS? DO YOU? I'M TOLD...I DO!

I haven't had the will, maybe the courage in a long time to write anything new, perhaps ... because, I've been a little distracted ... pre-occupied or maybe even discouraged. But DAMN IT! I'm getting more and more pissed off at the way things have been going than I have ever been, which leads me to believe that; "GOSH UNCLE WILLY ... I think we're CLOSER than we've ever been!"

While I maybe a little pissed, I do now recognize why ... and I only have myself to blame - yet, I am one of the luckiest people around, as long as I feel justified: knowing that doing what I'm doing; is the right thing. It's ONE of the very reasons I chose to 'strike out on my own' with JST KLSX and http://www.rockandroll.heaven.net/ - which is really MORE than a radio station, and even though "it's only on the Internet" at least for now ... to me it matters. I have heard from more than one person that "it's only an Internet station," "there are thousands of them" and "you're up against a wall ... that you're never going to be able to climb, much less stand on .. or get over!"

However, it has become amazing to me that because of a 'wanton desire' to do what I felt was the right thing, outside of not being able to be employed ... in my chosen field (which happens to be LIFE) I needed something to do with my LIFE. Perhaps something that may leave an impact on people, but really; I needed a job, just like everyone else. I began uncovering the little secrets of that 'Broad experiential experience' over the years and have come to certain conclusions, as I'm sure most of you have with your own LIFE, but I now get the feeling, no wait I am sure I have the feeling that: I know there are people ... who are not of the same thoughts in 'this presence' as I've gleamed from LIFE that are my beliefs. It's those people who are the guardians of the way of 'LIFE' that they've been programmed to accept, that 'way of LIFE' that becomes an easier and more acceptable way for 'THEM' to 'get along' in 'their world.' "That's the WAY it's always been ... whose to change it?"

My LIFE physically began in 1956 and has been influenced by a world that has been here for millions of years. So what? Well, after being saddled with the history of the world, and how I have come to be a part of that Universe, through: not only my education, but my social interaction ... it has left me with the teachings of some of the great minds through the last few thousand years that should be a logical and common sense approach to LIFE. But for the LIFE of me, I am not seeing people retain that same information. I don't want to sound cynical, but there is just no way around it ... the WORLD is NOT WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE! And, while I want to be so much a part of it ... I am becoming more and more aware that, 'The UnSeen Force' is in the driver's seat ... mainly because of apathy on the part of the people.

It may sound crazy to most who begin to read this, if you've never had an opportunity in knowing me ... but I have come to believe in the Quantum Physics world of GOD and the 'Higher Realm.' To most people ... that smacks of 'crazy talk' but it's not something that I came up with at all. It is something that has been evolving through those thousands of years, and slowly changing the thoughts and minds of generations. Although ... keep in mind that: it is a DOUBLE EDGED SWORD and there is a dark side. That information is being used by those in the power circles to protect that way of LIFE, because it maintains 'their' way of living while controlling the populace. I don't know why it's so easy to see, and so hard to believe ... at least for most people, but I have been able to see that the technology and events governing the world is moving our human race to a more ominous future, unless more people begin to understand the importance of a true Republic and how it affects the rights and privileges of others, but more from a singularity. That singularity comes from Albert Einstein, Max Planck, Niels Bohr and other scientist who are way smarter than the average bear.

Knowing, after looking at the world from more of a scientific point of view, coupled with the spirituality ... it only tells me that; I must be part of that new race of people called the 'Homoilluminous.' I want to know and be in the light, only I am considered to be one of the so called 'sheep' being dominated by a 'force' that's is of the belief that 'we cannot make competent decisions' in our LIFE, so they have to make them for us.

Part of the problem is that: I left my formal education beside the road, now that I look back on it: when I wasn't more aware as younger man, remaining as naive as they come, and looking more and more like one of the 'sheep' in this world. Although that may be a small problem, it also is a fact that I am not part of the 'Bloodline' but ... no one can blame anyone except themselves for not taking advantage of 'being aware' --- taking advantage of 'opportunity' when it knocks!

It has scared me ... only because I know after being fascinated with the 'Universe' and the crazy writings of some of those brilliant mathematicians and scientist, that I've set myself apart, for believing them ... and it's all my own doing (sarcasm). Keep in mind that it may sound arrogant, but for the LIFE of me, I thought that others (like most people) for the longest time have been thinking the same way, only to find out ... they're not. It's the TRUTH, and it makes someone like me, look more than a little different, if not odd, because I have taken up the 'feeling' that 'we are creating our world' as it comes ... and others believe that's a whole lot of hooey. After all we're creating movies, radio, news, technology and the WORLD ... why not our 'OWN LIVES?'

Now try and stay with me, because there is a point about this article which is this radio station, LIFE, me, you and the world that we LIVE in ... 'Right Here ... Right Now!' I think this publishing entity - America's Coast to Coast Entertainment Network / JST KLSX as a radio station is WONDERFUL opportunity and have believed in it for a very long time ... and don't want to set it aside, or fractionalize it --- by only doing ONE thing, when I think all things are related to the whole. It's JUST ME, and who I am ... and have always been.

Sure, I look at it as radio, but I also look at my chosen field as being a writer, producer, director, publicist, promoter, ad man and a social connection to the mainstream, which is MY world that involve others like you ... because it is MY LIFE and it's all wrapped up into ONE world. All of these elements in radio, TV, entertainment, movie and LIFE itself are all part of the equation that are as important to me in my quest to ... be involved.

There is a line in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, where Mister Gibbs, the first mate leans across the railing of the Black Pearl and says; "what bodes ill for Jack Sparrow ... bodes ill for us all' and that's how I've been feeling. It's a valid feeling that not only speaks of the negative sense of LIFE, but for the positive future ... not only for someone like me, but of a leader ... or an individual like you. What bodes ill for the leader of the country, does bode ill for us all. But that; is not really true for the Captain of a ship, CEO of a company or the leader of a country ... it holds true for each and every one of us as individuals. In 1989 I stopped saying, "it can't get any worse than this" when it seemed to continually get worse, and now I know that it can, but it can always get better. It is a thought process and it is up to the individuality of ONE PERSON and their thoughts.

I have seen things come into existence from the very 'wants' including JST KLSX. I am a believer, and yet I have walked hand in hand with idiocy. I don't believe everything that is told to me, because I have been told things that have already been proven to me on more than one occasion to be untrue, and at times I have been shown the proof that what is the TRUTH is not always adhered to ... not in this world where we are supposed to have 'fair and balanced' people making decisions, and are not. I have come to a point in my LIFE where I am of certain beliefs as I ponder the "Common Sense of an UnCommon Man, and the UnCommon Sense of a Common Man."

As I look around, and the world spins around us, I see it seemingly spinning out of control; yet it really isn't ... it is happening as it should, and always has happened. It's what I've been experiencing; to begin acknowledging that while I believed in that 'way of LIFE' it's not the TRUTH. I believe that I am rational ... and the WORLD seems to be LYING to me.

What we are seeing is: what we're being told. We're being told that people are afraid and are being cautious. The mainstream of our society is on the verge of a new awakening, while we're being indoctrinated into a 'scared society.'

Even as we're being led by our noses through the economy, millions upon millions of dollars are being poured into the movie and entertainment business for people to spend their 'Legal Tender' to go to those movies, buy popcorn, cokes and treats ... to 'drop out' and let 'them run things.'

Forgive the sarcasm, but I look at business, and I don't care if it's raising cows, creating widgets, building homes, farming: making movies, creating music, painting, entertainment or being in the circus ... it all boils down to being in the world of BUSINESS and that means ... having a plan, following the plan and above all ... having the resources to get the business successfully to market. That's why I believe that JST KLSX / http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ can be a highly successful business, and it's UP TO ME TO BELIEVE - and for people like yourselves to believe as well.

It's been in the last couple of weeks that I have been at arms length of two deaths that were people that; while I knew them, I've never met them, except through this radio station - JST KLSX - http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ - It has had an effect upon me, as much as them and the WORLD as they and their LOVED ones knew it, but in the future of the WORLD as we will come to know it. I've been told that this radio station did have an effect on them, although I was not there to witness it myself ... I've also been told, just tonight ... that I am 'running people off, because I'm playing a song against the current adminsitration that isn't politically correct, and people would find offensive. Well, that's one reason, I believe that I started this radio station, so that I could play what I felt was appropriate ... creating something that was more than what we've had shoved down our throats. I for one have had enough of it --- so it doesn't matter to me ... because ... it's ONLY about the TRUTH. I want to LIVE my LIFE listening to more than just the same eight great oldies ... and knowing that we have a country that is doing what it's supposed to be doing ... protecting our individual rights and freedoms.

Most of you do not realize that I have been personally going through a tremendous battle that has been against a major Corporate bank, called CITIBANK, which has affected my thought process when it comes to this business of being in radio, namely because I've been working on two fronts at the same time. But it's very simple; I BELIEVE in TRUTH! The TRUTH is simply this; I HATE BEING LIED TO! Not only by the banks, but by the Justice system, the corrupt judges, politicians and people in general ... it's because I am very simplistic, and can only see the TRUTH in the WANT and DESIRE. And the crux of it is simply GREED, controlled by an economic system that will not give the common man an opportunity, unless he FIGHTS ... LONG and HARD for his place.

As a common man with nothing more than a high school diploma, and without a 'real college degree' I have been researching the background on 'money' and how it comes into being, and how it's applied in the 'real world' that YOU and I are living in, and here's what I've learned: 99% of the population of the United States do NOT understand what is happening. I don't want to appear as IF I understand it more than most, but it's true ... I do ... or at least look at it a whole lot differently.

I only know this; I believe that I should have the same opportunity in creating the radio station, without the interference of the Major corporate entity, because; we can do it just as well as those guys ... who have all the 'Legal Tender' to hire those who use it to carry on with their plans in LIFE.

I have a radio station and the beginnings of a publishing entity that can be just as prominent in the 'cultural mainstream' as the big boys - and we can affect and change LIVES just as much. I think we've already done it ... and I BELIEVE that we can make a real difference. The ONLY obstacle really has been me ... I have to believe MORE SO NOW, than ever before ... because it's not just that we need the money, which is really an illusion --- I just need the PASSIONS and dedication of those who also BELIEVE as I do. JST KLSX is the 'MUSIC FOR THE AGES' and America's Coast to Coast Entertainment Network can produce anything as classy and entertaining as 'the Hollywood Elite' or the Washington Insiders when it comes to keeping the people informed and entertained. I've always thought that it was going to be simple --- but, they're trying to make me doubt myself --- only because I don't have that economic connection.

Keep tuning in ... if I haven't 'put you off' - it could be the beginnings of a LIFE that maybe you've been wanting to LIVE, LOVE and LAUGH like it was the old DAYS. I know I want that feeling ... all over again.

OHHHH --- I'm almost to my WITS END!

I'm getting to my wits end, as I keep looking toward the HEAVENS for an answer. There has to be a reason why things are unfolding as they are ... and as slowly. However, I keep the faith in believing that we're bound to make it to the starting line, since I cannot say the finsih line, otherwise it would be over before I really got a chance to 'GET IT ON!'

This is somewhat of a little therapy for me I guess; in at least getting a few things off of my chest ... only I'm growing weary of smiling to beat the band to rhythm of the beat.

I've said it more than a thousand times over the last few years; we have to have not only your support, we need your undying dedication to keep our signal tuned in, while telling others that we are here, and also need that financial help to keep this 'MUSIC FOR THE AGES!'

This is such a great idea ... can people see it? or, am I just living in a delusional state of insanity? I'm only posting this quick post to let it go --- but ... think of me, knowing that you may be the one to help us push it into the mainstream. I've always thought that my talents were worth it, and could be marketed. Lets keep waiting to see ... maybe?

There has never been more of a feeling of 'Going against the tide' than I have had ... for the last fifty plus four years!

I'm not sure if I have it figured out, or just haven't taken advantage of that knowledge as yet. I know what it takes to get it done, but for the LIFE of me, I'm feeling like 'Captain Jack Sparrow' whose sailing in his little dingy ... just barely stepping onto the dock, as it submerges beneath the pier.

In my radio career that began in 1974 there must have been something implanted into the far recesses of my mind that gave me the 'want' to do things 'My Way,' unless my father was secretly Frank Sinatra. It's an odd way of trying to justify why I'm seemingly in this position of 'fighting' against the East India Trading Company.

While I dropped out of college to follow the dream of being a radio personality; (possibly because I'm lazy and don't like physical labor) I know there's a 'Heart' beating inside this 'Chest' that has enough passion to keep the JST KLSX ship sailing until the doctors either declare me insane, or a benefactor shows up to justify the bounty that awaits us, on that not so distant shore.

We were finally able to get our own ship, JST KLSX that; we've been sailing for the last several years, as we've been 'going about' swabbing the decks, turning it into a HEAVENLY entity called www.rockandrollheaven.net/ which in itself is a universal manifestation of a concept that can 'Change the Course' of a NEW generation, while 'Our' OLDER generation 'clings' to a Vessel' that contains the most precious cargo; the MEMORIES of a bygone ERA that will NEVER Cease to exist. The 'feelings and passage' of a time that 'Rocked' the movement of OCEANS of music from all genre's.

The Corporate ideology of the 'East India Trading Company' has slowly been working 'through time' to gain control over the 'Terrestrial Air Waves' while some Captains have been 'sailing for refuge and shelter' from the impending storm in the: 'Dry Tortuga's,' otherwise known as the glorious Internet.

Believe me, I have tried to conform and do so ever have an unquenchable thirst to 'Be on the Radio' having fun, playing music and feeling that rhythm and motion of the music that affects everyone from "Eight to Eighty ... Old, Crippled and Crazy!"

However, that Corporate mentality that is sooo afraid of 'Individuality' is where it all falls apart, aside from the 'Greed' factor. I have tried reaching out to those who are in positions of powers in hopes of convincing them that the new concept 'Music for the Ages' is where the NEW concept can become the Universal medium, which will 'Bridge' the gap between at least three generations. I have not been a success as yet, but I know ... It can happen.

Just when does a song become an oldie? Does it really matter? As much as I want to be on the radio, or even in the entertainment business ... 'they' want to maintain the 'status quo' and to keep the music segmented; apart from one genre to the next. Why?

"What is your major malfunction numnuts?" Well, I believe it's wanting to "Do GOOD Radio!" That is what my problem is, aside from wanting to at least make a living do a job that I know is making some people hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not MILLIONS! Sure, it's possible in this day and age to make money with this new concept. How do I know that? Perhaps you may call it an 'instinctual feeling' or that guttural pirate attitude, that; "I believe there be treasure buried in them thar' caves!"

Okay then look at the most obvious signs 'blowin' through the winds' of our cultural mainstream. Clear Channel, the largest Corporate radio conglomerate just signed a 'pretty boy' to a three year, 60 million dollar contract at a time, when that same corporation is laying off extremely creative radio talents, while feigning 'hard times' and falling profits! That is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard in my LIFE. I can tell you that: I can do simple math, and with the hosting of the one show 'Pretty Boy' has been doing for the last so many years ... that show earns roughly about 30 to 40 million every night it is on the air. Granted, 'Pretty Boy' has some talent and is part of the equation, but it's the concept that is the major success of the show, aside from the other talented persons, like the 'slick' production and the real draw ... 'a judge with a sharp intellect and raw truth, which sold the show' and we all know we're talking about 'Simon.'

There have been some who have referred to 'Pretty Boy' as being the new 'Dick Clark,' but for the LIFE of me ... I just don't see that being the case. Sure, he has a lot of 'resources' behind him, and that is what it takes to 'grab the attention' of the millions of people out there who are clamouring for that 'entertainment' ... and as much as I hate to admit it ... we all know it to be the truth. Those resources are part of the plan that good 'Sailors and Businessmen' follow in the form of a compass that help in guiding them along those 'Cultural Oceans and Mainstreams.'

If you've been following the progress of America's Coast to Coast, you already know that Mason's compass works in the same fashion as 'Captain Jack Sparrow's.' We're sailing along, using our 'Dumb luck' to get where we're going, and it has been 'Dumb luck' that we've made it this far. But, we have a great concept, and we are the underdogs ... who are going to need our loyal 'hands' to keep hoisting the sails, and doing a few of those 'things' that keep a 'vessel' moving through the waters, including the 'word of mouth' and a wanton desire to see the 'Good Guys' win one. Yeah, even with a 'Pirate Attitude' we're the 'Good Guys' keeping the Corporate slugs on their toes ... if their only desire is to try and keep us 'Off of Ours!'

We have to do business in the same way, and need a 'Solid Business Plan' which I think we have in the making. But, what we really need is a 'Benefactor' who can 'Jump in Here' and help us along. It takes money resources to get the right business plan into the right hands of investors, who want to be involved in 'finding a treasure' that is solidly worth the effort. This radio station and concept is literally worth a great deal of money, once we get the 'compass' working toward our destination. The efforts and talents of a group of individuals who will obviously work for a great deal less than the millions being paid to one MAN, can make millions for more than a few.

Having a 'vessel' like JST KLSX who can 'Ride the Wave' on an Ocean of a new concept can only be as successful as the loyalists who share the same voyage. I want this DREAM to come to fruition as much as the 'Fantasy' we may believe it to be ... surrounding us in this world. There are financiers out there who can make it come to LIFE as easily as seeing it for what it may be worth, not only in the practical business sense ... but the love and passions of an idea that can carry the CONCEPT not only from America's Coast to Coast, but from Pole to Pole.

We do need the financial support to keep the wind in the sails, and you may be the one person who can 'Come aboard' in helping to steer us in the right direction. We don't want to keep it all for ourselves, this project involves others who have already expended tremendous time and effort, and can already see the potential. We're not 'greedy,' we only need good people who can make a difference and are willing to help us SAIL to the that beautiful island, where the sand is warm, the water is cool, the oysters are fresh and the drinks are frosty. If you can SEE the DREAM, we can LIVE it! We don't NEED 60 Million ... but we can make that much. I remain in the faith that my compass is leading us somewhere greater.

This article has been long in coming, and I do hope you will take the time in reading it, digesting it, know where it came from and hopefully; pass it along, and become a part of the formidable dream.

There are many of you, who are already an intricate part of the 'history' surrounding America's Coast to Coast Entertainment Network that is JST KLSX and http://www.RockandRollHeaven.net/ - a new vision for the future of publishing: not only with music and entertainment but with continued information and education, all while connecting to each other in the simplest of ways ... your 'social community.'

This idea is nothing really new, aside from 'shedding' these chains that are slowly being 'strapped' around our souls, and I mean that with every inch of my character. There is a difference between 'Us' and 'Them' and it remains so slight that most people cannot grasp the concept, until they have had a small taste. But, we have to make the stand and understand to what purpose we are involved.

Look closely at the graphics in the 'Mason's Dream for the Universe' that I have created. It has been coming for a long time, and it's called the NEW WORLD, and there is an order to it. It's called organized chaos, which in itself is a contradictory of terms, but it's built upon the algorithmic mathematical equations that ultimately control the 'Universe.'

I do not doubt that 'GOD' uses these methods in efforts to maintain 'Order' in the universe, and very likely, the Devil himself, however, here we are you and I in the 'Rocking Chair' of existence trying to figure out where we belong in this 'Chaos.' It still remains a very part of my soul that; While I believe wholly in 'Free Will' I also believe that; 'No matter how random events seem, there is a purpose' in our CREATOR'S master plan. And, somehow I got to be 'Right Here ... Right Now' with you.

And so 'Along Came Jones,' (The Coasters) and Mason Ramsey, only the Coasters were here long before I got here, as far as I know. But in the world I was born in, 'they' along with others were the pioneers in the Classic roots of Rock and Roll, who began picking it up from others like Smiley Lewis, Erma Thomas, 'Big' Joe Turner, Muddy Waters, Amos Milburn, Jimmy Preston, Jackie Brenston, Bill Haley & the Comets, Ike Turner, Bo Diddley, The Cadillacs and so many others who've paved the way for 'Rockin' and Rollin.' These 'Cats' are from the 'House of 'Oldies Radio' and 'they' are being systematically cornered into a segmented old mansion that some people are afraid to go into any more, not knowing what might pop out at them. I think I know why; it's because people don't want to 'LIVE' in the past as much as 'Visiting' for a short while, and then having the opportunity of returning to the 'Mainstream' of their 'Current and present Lives.'

Not even I really knew where the term 'Rockin' and Rollin' really came from, until I began studying the music, even though I had/ have been in the business for more than thirty plus years playing the 'Contemporary' stuff labeled as Rock and Roll. Most historians credit Alan Freed, who caught the 'Vibe' back in 1951, using the term on the radio in his broadcasts, and thrusting it into the cultural mainstream. But, it was Alan Freed who merely picked it up from others just to 'carry it along' defining the period and becoming: the catalyst for a new generation.

The term 'Rockin' and Rollin' actually came about back in 1922 from a singer by the name of Trixie Smith in a song called "My Man Rocks me with One Steady Roll" or even with Roy Brown's "Good Rockin' Tonight" or from The Boswell Sister's tune from 1934 entitled 'Rock and Roll' which was used in the movie 'Transatlantic Merry Go-Round' albeit that song is about the 'Motion of the Ocean' ... I'm sure we all know the term is a double entendre' for the more pleasurable of LIFE'S experiences ... SEX. So it's not just the electric guitars, amplifiers and a microphone ... it really is an emotional feeling that has its roots in rhythm that transcend country, rock-a-billy, jazz, blues, swing, hip hop, disco or even rap ... if it ROCKS ... it definitely ROLLS!

So now, here we are doing what we're doing, or at least think, doing what we think we're doing: changing the way music is being programmed. I would like to believe that perhaps we are a bit ahead of the curve, in 'being on the radio.' I do listen to radio stations and constantly reminded of the consistency of the programming, and therein lays the problem.

People are beginning to wake up and take notice of the radio stations, and are wanting something different. I know I am one of those people, but I've finally stopped screaming at the radio stations and have just accepted it: they're not going to change until someone 'leads them into the light.'

I know what needs to be done, and after experiencing the nature of the 'Beast,' it is going to take more than what I have to offer as 'just a radio personality.'

I LOVE BEING on the RADIO. There is nothing like it, when you're in a control room, playing GREAT MUSIC, connecting with people from all across the country, much less the WORLD! When a person behind the 'mic' is 'purposely controlling the flow' of music ... creating the 'Hills and Valley's' on five hour roller coaster ride, it will have an affect on a listener. When a listener becomes a part of the 'show' through that personal connection of talking directly with the person behind the 'mic' and being thrust into the show as a part of the 'production' or through personal communications through the 'Chat Room' or an e-mail ... means so much to the equation of GOOD RADIO.

But all too often, and most likely; the person behind the 'mic' just does not have the passion or a desire to care about 'Creating that mood or connection.' Or, it may not be that the person doesn't care, it may be as simple and more as likely; the person behind the 'mic' does not have the 'freedom' to make the choices in music, the callers or any placement of the content in any manner ... because their hands are tied. Tied, because they work for the man and are bound by the rules of 'Corporate planning' - "We're the boss, and you will do EXACTLY as we say or find another job."

I do understand the mentality, but that level of working for someone else is the 'thin line between love and hate,' and the root cause of a problem in our world. All too often I have walked into a control room to find a 'Radio personality' sitting behind the 'mic' with the phones on 'hold,' reading a book, and the reason: that person is following a 'log' that is already laid out for them, and without the freedom of 'creating a show' and: the worries of 'losing their job' creates ... apathy. All they care about is getting their paycheck. It is sad state of affairs, but it remains nothing but the truth, and the corporate structure relies on that mentality. It strangles the creativity, but it maximizes 'their' profits.

Here's what it is going to take: FIRST: The passion and dedication of a group of people who want to make money. It is that simple! They are called INVESTORS. Oh sure, they may have to be passionate about the radio and entertainment business, but their real interest is to obviously 'Make Money' and that is all they really care about. There is nothing wrong with that, for any reason ... but we need them to get where we are going. So we NEED one, two or three investors who will be dedicated to the PLAN and future of a new publishing entity called America's Coast to Coast Entertainment Network. There are people with money out there who can be involved and who can have, not only a business loan interest for a money return, but ownership in the company for greater return on their investment in the future.

SECOND: The MASTER BUSINESS PLAN has to be completed to to give confidence to those investors who can see the REAL potential of this company. Those who want to be 'vested' in the future of the business, are going to want to rely on the 'Master Plan' so 'He/She is Safe' and are assured 'they' are not going to lose anything, much less 'Their money.' There's nothing wrong with that, but that is what we need ... and it is called the 'Master Business Plan.'

THIRD: The amount of money we need is going to amount to about $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 a month for the next three to five years (about $5 million in five years). The projected growth potential however is approximately $13, 140,000.00 a year ($65,700,000.00 in five years). I have done the numbers and it is staggering, and that is only ONE projection for affiliates - not including the web possibilities.

FOURTH: Small and medium market radio stations are looking for entertainment content in their markets, and cannot afford to pay professional and talented people because their markets cannot afford to sustain any level of major market talent. Those radio stations are having to rely on the MAJOR CORPORATE content providers who are 'dishing up' the same 'old things' which is becoming so stagnate that people are turning away from the terrestrial radio stations, and turning to 'independent providers' ... through the Internet. Don't be dissuaded ... it is a fight, to keep some control over the 'shrinking terrestrial audiences' but it is happening. The Internet and the 'publishing aspect' from audio, video and the written word will be paramount - and we have a greater opportunity in becoming one of those NEW mediums who can provide a return to a more creative and versatile effect on the 'cultural mainstream.' We can.

FIFTH: So with a dedicated group of 'like minded' people working with America's Coast to Coast Entertainment Network - JST KLSX - http://www.RockandRollHeaven.net/ who are as passionate about the future of radio entertainment and the publishing entity ... surrounding and encompassing the 'Master Plan' and who can help in seeing it 'take hold across the country' and the 'world.' We are going to help those Rock and Rollers from the past, keep their music ALIVE, and give them a home for their 'New' material that can be played alongside the iconic pieces that introduced us to them ... those many years ago.

SIXTH: We have already come a long way, and need the confidence of money investors to see it through, because it can happen ... but not with only ONE or two people doing everything. It will take a team of the individuals, who can not only help write, produce and be 'On the Air,' but to help in marketing, promoting, sales, advertising, web design and content and of course: the business applications in securing the company's success.

Well, I know what it takes, but how in the world does a person get to where they intend on going? It all seems simple enough for the simple minded, but it really isn't that simple, even for a simpleton like me. The real deal; "It takes money to make money, and scared money never wins."

We have already given a great deal and expended an awful lot of time, money and effort in bringing a new concept called 'Music for the Ages' to a market for a 'New Generation' of listeners, who are missing the excitement of an older generation's era, that people seem to want ... again.

The 'Baby Boomers' are the largest growing market with the most expendable income in the future, and the one demographic that are being 'brushed aside' by those corporate 'Greedies' at the top with no 'insight.'

"I feel the passion and the excitement of 'Being on the Radio' playing not only the Classic Roots of Rock and Roll but the Rock and Rollers of 'today' that took the very essence of their creativity from the core of those seeds planted those many years ago. It can be blended into ONE format, with the same passion and excitement that ONCE permeated the airwaves. We can GIVE the entertainment, information, education, passion and Love ... back to you! I am looking for my place in this world, and I really believe that ... my place is 'ON THE RADIO' playing the music for the masses, talking to the people and keeping it FRESH! I'VE STOPPED SCREAMING AT THE RADIO!

I have stopped screaming at the radio ... at least for now. For those of you who know what is happening, I need not bore you with the details, because I don't believe it will do anyone any good.

Wanting to believe that a career could be had, by someone who wanted one, was something I cherished, and held onto as I walked unto the faith and the invisible empire. I hesitate in using the word, desperately ... knowing that: people don't like dealing with desperate people.

Not having written for a very long time, I have been a little under the pressure of a 'boiling pot' that most people were not that aware of, up until recently.

Presently, we are 'Off the Air' until we re-establish the 'signal' and get it at least back ... 'On the Air' in an automated capacity. Thanks to Christine Daniel, who just recently added funds to pay for the 'signal' we will be able to operate, once we get Dennis to hook up the automation computers. After that; well it's any one's guess.

I know what I want to happen, but I have grown weary in attempting to keep the train on the track. I still BELIEVE that it can progress into the all mighty entertainment for the cultural mainstream. There will be someone eventually who will 'step up' and help us in 'seeing the light' to help in guiding us along the way ... because it is that important. but for now; a very short explanation to at least keep those who have been loyal to RNRHVN and ACCENetwork informed about what is happening.

Albeit that this 'blog' is a short expression, please bear with me, as I move into new surroundings, while I proceed against the BEAST that has being working to uproot us for the last several years. You may want to look at the political blog where I've posted some valuable information, which pertains to the 'whole' that some have said, has nothing to do with the radio station ... but without a studio, a passionate behind the scenes man about radio and publishing, and a home ... there is no RNRHVN or ACCENetwork.

But as I've always believed: Things happen for a reason, and I want to believe that we're still going to win, and get to where we're going. We need the ALMIGHTY Business Plan as we've been working on, with the projected growth revenues ... but the right investor who can see it for what it really is worth ... and that worth is REALLY THERE. I hope I can really begin to write about the MUSIC, Entertainment and the FUN of being on the radio again, and that there are people out there who know that we have it in us ... to do exactly that; HAVE FUN ON THE RADIO. At least we're back in a new place - now just to get it set up ... and to keep rolling. Mason.

MIKE "I'M NOT DEAD YET" CLIFFORD

I wanted to take an opportunity to quickly remind people who listen to us here on JST KLSX, that; there will indeed be an upcoming special with Mike Clifford.

Mike Clifford has had a career alongside many of the legendary rock and roll stars spanning decades of those 'Wondrous Years' of life that have defined so many of us.

We will be talking with Mike, who jokingly says; "Mason, I'm not Dead Yet ... I've still got a lot of passion, music and LIFE ... left in me!"

In my conversations with Mike, I hear that enthusiasm and irreverent sense of humor, as he says; "Oh you sneaky bastard!" as he laughs because he finally catches on that the 'tape is rolling.'

I believe the special will not only contain some of the great works of Mike Clifford, but will also highlight some of the other stars that have been a part of Mike's LIFE - like Judy Garland or even Mae West. After all Mike was on American Bandstand and was also a part of Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars on the Rock and Roll Tours. Those are memories that are worth bringing back ... today.

While Mike and I are still conversing, most of you already know by now, that it takes me a little time in putting these specials together, but with the great stories of interaction in the life of an artist like Mike ... I am sure it will be worth the wait.

I can see this special being defined by the same quality of stories and music that have already influenced a couple of generations, and Mike Clifford, while he may be on his last legs, (note the sarcasm) is not Dead .... Yet! From a guy who isn't ready to give up the ghost --- he still has plenty of great tunes left to bring to market ... including a re-make of Bobby Darin's, 'Mack the Knife' that was just recently recorded with a 40 piece orchestra. WOW! I can not wait to hear that tune, knowing that; with Mike's vocal skills ... it is going to be a very jazzy contemporary piece, and perfect for JST KLSX.

It is an artist like Mike Clifford who are responsible for those great memories when we hear tunes like, 'Close to Cathy,' 'Danny's Dream,' 'How to Murder Your Wife' and other great tunes that will be in the special, or for even being remembered in his soap opera role. Those were the memories that bring a smile to 'OUR' minds. There are, lots of people who are still fans and want to find out more about Mike, the memories and asking the question; what is he doing these days? Now is the time to spread the word - "Hey! BAND MAN - MARK 'HOSS' AMANS

Wow, would you look at that hat! Dan Blocker wore that hat on the Ponderosa as the character, 'Hoss' in the 60's TV show Bonanza.

I'm pretty sure the hat on the head of Mark 'Hoss' Amans is a little more animated than the one I remember on the TV Series, even as I remembered watching the show mostly in Japanese; since I had lived in Asia as a kid: but I can already tell you that this 'Hoss,' while he might not speak any Japanese is an animated character, and the hat really fits.

So who is this character in a ten gallon hat that looks like it could hold an extra 10 gallons? Mark is what you refer to as a 'Roadie' although in the early days, they called people like Mark, 'Band Boys.'

Although the term 'Band Boys' from the 50's later drifted into the term 'Roadies' they did the same job. 'Band Boys' (Roadies) were typically the technicians who handle just about every aspect of a band's innermost workings before, during and after a concert, including; the setting up of monitors, drums, plugging in guitars, lights, acting as liaisons between the musicians and audience ... and sometimes acting as body guards, depending on the growing relationship when hired by the band.

While there are different levels of Roadies, Mark 'Hoss' Amans actually became a 'Band Boy' when he first began his career with a group called 'The Viceroys' out of Seattle Washington. It's where 'Hoss' picked up the skills that 'Schooled' him into being a man who could handle ALL things for his surprise phone call, graduating him into into the industry by being hired as a 'Road Manager' for Paul Revere and the Raiders ... thus ... transitioning 'Hoss' into being a 'BAND MAN.'

"Hoss" reminisces about Paul Revere and the Raiders as being the "Most Fun" that he's ever had in his career, and it's where he picked up the non-de-plume of 'Hoss.' Mark recalls that people in the entourage were always calling out ... "Mark" and both he and Mark Lindsey would always be turning their heads in response.

Mark Lindsey was increasingly becoming more disgruntled at always being confused with the mix up, and that dissatisfaction eventually led to a momentous and LIFE changing decision for 'Hoss.' It was a day when Paul Revere and the Raiders were in the airport at Love Field in Dallas, where both Mark Amans and Mark Lindsey while waiting on their departure decided to waste a little time at one of the western shops. While browsing it was "Hoss" who picked up the 'Hat' exclaiming "Hey Lindsey, check this out! It's 'Hoss's hat from Bonanza." It was the AHA moment when Mark Lindsey said, "That's it ... we can just call you 'Hoss' ... problem solved!" Amans, obviously loved the idea from the moment Lindsey uttered the statement and has accepted the persona, perhaps with a 'smirk' but alas, becoming 'Hoss' with much pleasure.

'Hoss' has worked with many bands over the years and has been continuously 'On the road' with notables including, 'The WHO,' 'The Robbs,' The Blues Magoos,' 'The Butts Band (Robbie Krieger & John Densmore of the Doors) and others and definitely has a few stories to tell.

Mostly these days 'Hoss' is doing a few things that are keeping him close to the business. As a new writer, he's telling some of those great stories and sharing pictures in a new manuscript that he has been shopping to publishers called: "Where the Action Was" ... a title closely related to the Dick Clark Television show in those days called "Where the Action Is" where Paul Revere and the Raiders made numerous appearances on that show. These days however, 'Hoss' continues working as a driver to the rich and famous and 'Keeping his Hand in the Music' with another group called the 'Road Captains.' There will be music as always that you are not likely to hear anywhere else but ... here on America's Coast to Coast - JST KLSX.

The GREAT OLDIES CONUNDRUM

Ohhh MY! It's sort of turned out to be a small problem that; I am really not sure how to deal with as of late.

How do I go about laying it on the line ... to those who have been as supportive over the last few years in our little entertainment venture?

I'm going to keep it short, but in an effort to 'make a go of it' in the business world, it seems that; it's just a task that seems hardly worthwhile anymore, unless we can keep the momentum going. In order to do that; I have got to know this is going somewhere, sooner than later.

I am very grateful for the likes of those of YOU who have constantly tuned in everyday to show your support. However, things have been changing, and I can feel my nature is changing while the FORMAT is becoming more consistent.

I have been presented with several issues that are contradictory, and while I LOVE the idea of a BLENDED Format of 'Music for the Ages' and know that it will be a great idea for the coming future ... the majority of an audience ONLY want the familiarity of those same familiar tunes, unless there is someone who can transition into those lesser played songs, while 'hosting a get together' of those; willing to not only 'hang with the host' but enjoy being connected to other friends who enjoy the same LOVE of music, without the editorial, political or commentary side bars on the radio. Oh it's okay in the chat and a forum, but for some reason ... not on the radio.

Here's the problem: I feel like I've been letting most of you down as I've been working to 'PUSH' the concept into existence, knowing that my IDEA of radio has always been something more than just a LOVE for the MUSIC.

When there was a larger audience, it was a little easier to 'take a request,' talk with a listener, play the request and move on, since the audience was so much greater, the diversity was easier and it was the people from the varied walks of LIFE who added the 'SPICE' to the 'BLEND' and the manner in which it was presented ... which made it a perfect. Of course the music Library was always LIMITED and a continuing problem to overcome, and one very good reason for US to begin this new venture.

This is what the BUSINESS end of radio is looking for, and what we need to give them, only I am in a quandary ... and, once we can get back to a larger audience, it will be easier to maintain that concept, with our IDEOLOGY, and less likely for me in wanting to try and interject my 'thoughts' and 'creativity' into the 'music' programming, namely to try and keep it entertaining.

I have been wanting to keep it entertaining ... only to be a successful business ... I will have to remove myself from that aspect when we get to a level where investors can feel safe that; there won't be anything that can jeopardize the programming or the listener ship, and: if I want to do a show that is more to my liking, it will be a show entitled: "Mason Ramsey's Rock and Roll Politico Religious Quantum Physics Show!"

And of COURSE, it would be entirely different show on the 'radio' from the 'watered down' show on the affiliate radio stations, who would rather 'play it safe' - and, I can't say that I blame them ... after all ... it is their money ... no wait: it would be our money. I can do that kind of show, given the opportunity in getting back to that LARGE AUDIENCE of at least 1.2 million where we were a few years ago.

It is possible to make it there, only it will take a great deal and more effort in the business end than I've been able to express. I still maintain the faith that it will happen, when we find the right ANGEL investors who believe as much as I do, and who will allow us to have others in here to help put all of the pieces together. We have 'ALL of the TOOLS' and 'We're Almost there.'

For now, I wrestle with wanting to do both kinds of shows - because I have a desire to 'Spread the News' about the things I know; and the MUSIC I LIVE and LOVE! I just have to stay out of the way, so we can move this company into reality.

IT'S SOMETHING I'VE BEEN LIVING!

I ran across this article this morning, and cannot for the LIFE of me, remember if I've ever published this piece before. "Damn! I can't hardly remember if I'm even who I say I am anymore" ... but here it is, and; from what I believe; it was very likely more than a year ago, but I touched it up ... just a little ... not much, just a little.

The following article is the truth, and nothing more than the truth, and from the heart, as I have come to know it as reality. I have lived in this ‘Illusionary’ world ‘Hell Bent’ on describing itself as the ‘Real World’ as we are being forced to accept it, through compliance or risk being labeled an outcast for thinking such inconceivable thoughts ... as “Believing that we really do have a say in the matter.”

The ‘Mainframe’ believes we are nothing more than little children or perhaps ‘Slaves’ who need guidance, wanting to be told what to do, and how to do it. (But, I am not one of those … and that; is the problem!)

For what it may be worth, this new technology called a computer has people dialing into a new medium, Internet Radio (note the sarcasm), but it is much more than being able to listen to your favorite songs, downloaded by people only wanting their favorite songs. They (the audience) want so much more. They want to be a part, while being educated, informed and entertained.

The Cultural mainstream of Corporate radio programming ‘Suits’ have been pounding the same tunes into the minds of Americans, who believe; they are being given a choice, when asked during a typical ‘Market Survey’ “Which of these Ten Songs, do you like Best?”

When a listener is calling to make a request to any radio station, the ‘Drones’ sitting behind a control board are told to respond to anyone calling, “We’ll see if we can get to it for you” when in fact, the philosophy has been for more than twenty years … “Mason, most people calling to make a request, are calling for a song that is in our rotation, and it will be coming up anyway.”

I have found this to be so … un-true, especially as radio itself is:
“Growing through Time.”

I have been told on numerous occasions by the industry professionals, that ‘I’, as an industry professional do not count, when it comes to what I think, because I am on the inside … and to me … that is absolutely absurd!

As a person, who LOVES music, movies, reading, writing and LIFE … I most certainly am ‘THE ONE’ who does know as much as anyone, because I too am a FAN! Just because I am in the business, does not dismiss any fact: that I do not know what a 32 year old female likes, much less a 65 year old male … not to mention an 18 year old girl, or a 70 year old woman.

I am one of the ‘Target Demos’ in this world, and as an insider with more than thirty-five years of experience in radio, television and BEING ON THE PLANET for an additional seventeen years … I KNOW what looks GOOD, tastes GOOD, Smells GOOD and most certainly FEELS GOOD!

Do not dismiss my Quantum abilities as a renaissance man who has a greater grasp of the T.O.M.A., (Top of Mind Awareness) that permeates our world as it continually grows “Through Time.”

Who are ‘They,’ in telling ‘US’ what we should like or not like?

Except when I am made to feel anything through my own experiences … I have seen the future more than thirty-five years ago, and it has been catching up to me, as I have been … slowly catching on.

We are part of the ‘Eternity Brigade’ … a soulful group of individuals believing in the whole existence of an expanding consciousness, that is an infinite expanse of un-ending energy … vibrating throughout the ‘Ends of Time.’

In the pulsating inter-connectivity of a digital age, and the World Wide Web, it only connects our inner collectivity into a prime consciousness, which has been rising from the sub consciousness … from all of those years of being on this planet … in this mortal state … and from our ancestors, who have passed it on to a welcoming generation. Who has been looking into the future, and beyond the ‘Here and Now?’ Well, I can honestly say, that I have been … for years.

I was thrust into a passion that has been evolving from the time I was listening to the ‘Classic Roots of Rock and Roll’ even as I was in the other ‘Womb.’ There was a constant thumping of guitar riffs belting out Chuck Berry’s ‘Maybelline,’ ‘Rock Around the Clock’ from Bill Haley and the Comets or even ‘Ain't That a Shame?’ from Fats Domino and ‘Earth Angel’ from The Penguins.

It was likely that: when I was in the other ‘Womb’ waiting to make my grand entrance into this ‘Womb’ that I picked up on some of those early influences, and carried them with me, as I walked through that door.

It wasn’t just 1955 that spawned Influential experiences on a singular point of conception, but decades of LIFE before that lost period, which thrust another individual like myself into the mix. Of course, 1955 was the year that Albert Einstein exited this ‘Womb’ and has crossed over into another dimensional existence.

So what is it that I am talking about? A future that has been evolving with the minor changes, that are ever so slight … that it hardly seems noticeable, until you consciously take it upon yourself in looking back through the years to see the changes … and in discerning them for yourself. You could begin calling yourself a historian, or it may be … ‘we have been this way before.’

Radio is coming around again, from the same ‘Hey Day’ and ‘Fun Times’ that were the days, when our Grandparents, (those people who listened to radio in the thirties and forties, and remember what it was like to be involved in a ‘Theatre of the Mind’ living room surrounded by their own imaginations) … and all from the mere creative imagery that was being produced by the ‘Freedom Players’ of those great radio personalities, who went on to stage and screen, and who remained with us for decades, becoming legendary personalities. Their work and images will live for thousands of years … thanks to the technology that has caught us, and is surpassing us rapidly.

The largest growing population in the world today will be the largest and most influential population in the future … and that will be people like you and me; those people are called the ‘Baby Boomers.’

However, as we ‘Grow through Time’ there is a new generation of audiences out there, who have yet to experience that same flavorful earful of radio that seduced the greatest generation this Planet as yet produced. As uttered by little Layla on JST KLSX, “They call this the old Stuff? Well it’s new to me, and I like it!”

It remains evident that ‘Our’ generation did not spawn the excitement of radio and its creativity, but it is ‘spawning’ that resurgence in holding onto the excitement for ‘Our’ own sakes, and the sake of a generation coming up behind us. It is ‘They’ who are taking a greater interest in the melodies, not only as the music by itself, but in recreating a feeling … just for the commercial aspects from that era. Could it be from a lack of that generation’s ‘Own’ creativity … and, that: there is … really nothing new? Or is it just revamped?

Nothing has changed, but everything has! We are going to be doing it again, and you will see a revitalized insurgency in the Classic Age of Rock and Roll --- and it is not just Rock and Roll, it is the Classics that spawned those tunes … and the creative programming that: was produced in those wonderful vignettes and skits, that took us out of our environment, or the troubles of the day. It may be the same history beginning to repeat itself, only in a modernized world galvanized by the romance of a futuristic Star Wars.

This is now becoming “Appointment Radio” --- because people will make it a point to be here on http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ JST KLSX. However, most people are thinking that all of the new technology will leave the old conventional radio in the dust, and to a certain extent … it will.

For now, radio programming providers like XM / Sirus have a growing base of listeners, who are searching for the diversity, and are paying a monthly fee for the privilege of hearing more … in a broad range of a segmented genre, than commercialized radio’s three – five hundred song play list. It is one of the reasons that you have 900 channels, and audiences becoming so fragmented in search of their very own ‘Home.’

Those programmers are so smug … they think they know it all … and claim it’s from the research they’ve conducted. Only that research is so slanted with the leading questionnaires … that it works to their advantage. They may as well be Casino owners.

America’s Coast to Coast Entertainment Network was created after http://www.RockandRollHeaven.net as I have been looking to hang onto a career that has never really had a chance to ‘take hold’ but, I have no illusions other than the freedom that I was given as I began my career in the early seventies.

As I have been evolving with radio and the entertainment, I do not believe through the course of my career that I may have been as lucky as some, who have gone onto much greater fame and fortune, However, I do believe there may be a reason: That reason is the forever changing face of radio and entertainment, and a future that I am now beginning to play a part: in shaping that audio landscape that is now culminating with every facet of multi-media.

After doing ‘Saturday Night at the Oldies’ and ‘Juke Box Sunday Night’ on One Hundred and Thirty (130) Satellite Radio Stations across the country --- those few years ago, it has shown me that: There are people still longing for the connection of the Fun Days of Radio ‘Long Gone by the Wayside’ … they may be growing older, but they remember so much more. And there is a new generation who are catching the ‘Spirit.’

What is missing? Let me tell you: The ‘Passion,’ the ‘Spontaneity,’ the ‘Creativity’ and the ‘Social Community of People’ longing for a future of, ‘The Way Radio and the World Use to be.’

Major advertising firms are ignoring the new age demographic --- and we’ve been saying it for more than three years, and have the ‘Drops’ to prove it --- “From Eight to Eighty” of course, we’ve added “Old Crippled and Crazy” but, we are “Music for the Ages!”

We are blending the “Greatest Hits,” the “Forgotten Hits,” the “Lost B Sides,” the “Back Tracks” or the “Flavorful New Stuff” that has that ‘Timeless Quality’ the Corporate World refuses to play. And, we can pay homage to the “Make Believe Ballroom” that can be hosted by Willie D.

We know what Good Radio is all about, and we’re heading that way … even if it is a little step here and a little step there. Eventually, when we get the financial resources behind us here at America’s Coast to Coast --- we will have the talent resources of people who will be flocking to our doorstep wanting to be a part of that ‘Lost Freedom’ of an imagination creating that ‘Theater of the Mind’ entertainment for a very receptive audience from “Eight to Eighty Old, Crippled and Crazy … You’ve Got us Right Here … Right Now!”

STEPHEN GOLDIN - THE SPECIAL

Looking up at the moon this evening as I took in a relaxing soak in the hot tub, gave me the thought of a werewolf evening. The clouds that drifted slowly across the sky, were the hazy and silky kind, as the wind rushed through the Cottonwoods. It seemed as if it were one of those nights that a mystery was happening, not only somewhere in the world; but somewhere in the Universe.

It really did have that movie quality to it, since I had already framed it in my mind's eye, and sat back to consciously "Put myself in the Quantum physics of the World spinning around me."

Something is happening, and still is as my mind continues to swirl around those imminent possibilities. All I have to do was think about it, 'in how it all came about,' but my thoughts kept turning back to the upcoming Stephen Goldin Special on June 15th, 2010 and thinking; 'How is this going to play out in time?'

I became aware of Stephen Goldin in the mid seventies when one of his science fiction books hit the market, and I happened to be lucky enough to get my hands on a copy, just about the time that I my career in broadcasting had begun.

While it looked like an evening from a werewolf movie, the thought of this moon directly corresponded to my memory in that book called 'The Eternity Brigade' where the main and supporting characters found themselves fighting for their country suddenly on the moon, when their last recollections were fighting in China; after volunteering for a Government experiment which first began during the Vietnam war.

While the moon was only the second stop on a trip through eternity for the characters in 'The Eternity Brigade,' it made me stop to think about the Quantum physics of the Universe and how we are currently traveling through this time, which was 'that time' and now 'this time' and how it is culminating to: 'another time,' in the very near future, June 15th, 2010 ... without even being frozen through the benefits of Cryogenics, that Stephen made me first aware of; way back then.

To me, it is absolutely fascinating to even believe it possible to finally catch up with Stephen, who wrote this wonderful masterpiece that; hasn't been given the accolades it most certainly deserves in the mainstream publishing industry, much less the movie medium. But, to find out that Stephen is also connected to family members who have affected the careers of major stars in the music industry such as, Elvis, Dee Dee Sharp, Brenda Lee and then to find out that Stephen is married to Mary Mason, who has worked for years with Nick Gravenities: a MAJOR blues artist who has worked with other greats like Janice Joplin, Muddy Waters, Huey Lewis & the News, Maria Muldaur and other greats in the music industry.

I know I have fallen behind in my writings and efforts for JST KLSX, but in trying to get across the point in a very succinct way, it's simply this ... I have to believe that ... it is all coming together in this space and time and; this special with Stephen Goldin featuring Mary Mason and Nick Gravenities will be another interesting music special, that will reverberate throughout the ethros. To me; it's fascinating! Who is doing this? I am now rushing to make the deadline for 'The Stephen Goldin Special' and somehow believe and know - it's going to happen on June 15th, 2010 ... but like everything else, it seems like it's almost last minute and something else is needing to be done while I'm doing that bit of juggling.

I'm of the opinion that we do need a couple more clowns in this circus and promising ringmaster, because I'm currently on the high wire ... and I'm looking for the net - and don't see one! APRIL FOOLS! WHAT A JOKE!

Here's what I learned today ... April Fool's Day; http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ - JST KLSX - is not my Radio Station ... it's yours.

I really didn't know what else I could do on April Fool's Day that would have gotten so much attention, and wasn't really ready for the amount of attention that we received today, when I mentioned that "'JST KLSX,' would cease broadcasting at midnight."

HOLY COW! I know that; from what I've heard, people were genuinely upset, and did not make the connection that it was an April Fool's Day prank. Not for ONE second did I believe that people really believed that we were going to 'GO OFF THE AIR!'

I know I did carry it on nearly all day, with little 'blurbs' of announcements and then ran off to hide, because I started getting e-mails and phone calls asking, "Are you Serious Mason?"

However, I was already committed to following through, and couldn't comment - and even though some of you were a little upset, you've got admit; THAT; IT WAS FUNNY! But, what you may not realize is; how much I was affected; by the response from each of you.

What is even funnier? The fact that the people like Bill Santo, Stevie Cre and Chris (Elf) were shocked when they first found out. No, contrary to the story I told ... it was not Chris' idea ... although I really did enjoy putting it off onto her. Yet, when I told her the previous night to test it out, I could hear the voice quiver as I let her stew for a moment - and when I said "April FOOLS" - she immediately said, "Oh YOU BASTARD ... I HATE YOU!"

But when she started laughing, I knew I had to do it. I think when I got the phone messages especially from 'Willie D' (Bill Santo) and 'Stevie Cre' (Steve Creaturo) I was laughing so hard ... that Coca Cola came spurting through my nose. I knew that: I had gotten them ... GOOD!

Comments from all of our supporters who called, commented, sent e-mails and were 'Upset' by the news ... I apologize. You all mean so very much to JST KLSX and to me as a person.

Far be it from me to cry WOLF, but I guess the sound of my voice on the radio really sold it - and it was just something that was all in the GOOD FUN of practical jokes - but it did leave me with a very warm feeling that; I know this RADIO STATION does mean as MUCH to YOU, THEM and the others who have been climbing and jumping on board ... as much as it means to me.

I am sorry for the practical joke --- but; not really, because it's made me feel ALIVE and that I am not wasting my time. I do realize now, there are people who really are caring for the things that we are doing, because it is and has become a piece of them. While it may have upset 'your,' ('their') balance ... just a little; know this: I will do what I can to keep from causing you any more distress. I thank you for the wonderful friendship that we are building, and promise that I WILL do as much as I can to keep it on the tracks and heading toward the promise land. This company - America's Coast to Coast Entertainment Network does mean a great deal to me, and it has been a struggle to get to this point. I still believe in greater things to come, and know that it's going to take a lot of work for the vision to come even more into focus. I'm ready to see it bigger than the greatest part of the cultural mainstream - because it is people like you, who are a greater part of the WHOLE.

If there was another thing I learned; we did reach a lot of people all across the country and a few in other countries. MARSHALL LYTLE - SLAPPIN' the BASS & LIFE!

What an honor I have; being able to talk with a man who was part of ONE of the most famous bands in Rock and Roll History. Coming up on March 21st beginning at 5pm (Mountain Time) please tune into JST KLSX for a musical interview with Marshall Lytle the original bass player for Bill Haley & the Comets.

Bill Haley's career with the Saddlemen began before Bill Haley with Halley's Comets came along in the summer of 1952, when Bill approached Marshall Lytle to ask; "Hey Marshall, why don't you come and play bass for my new group," which later became Bill Haley & the Comets.

For Marshall who was playing with the Jodimars after Bill Haley, it was the beginning in 1952 when he told Bill, "Well ... Hell Bill ... I don't know anything about playing the bass."

Enthusiastically, Bill came back with a comment that inspired Marshall to give it a try, saying: "Marshall I can teach you how to SLAP that bass in an hour" and the rest was the beginning of a career for Marshall who co-wrote 'Crazy Man ... Crazy' less than a year later, which became the first OFFICIAL Rock and Roll Song to hit the American Charts, peaking at number 15 and reaching to number 11 on Cash Box in 1953. Amazingly, Marshall had never received credit for the song until 2001, about twenty years after Bill Haley entered Rock and Roll Heaven in 1981.

Marshall's style of 'Slappin' the Bass' became one of those signature moves for the Comets like the Chuck Berry move, but only with Marshall's athletic style and the combined antics of Joey Ambrose, who played the Saxophone when; the two of them developed an onstage routine of throwing the Bass in the air and then riding it like a horse. The later 'Comets' after Marshall exited ... were asked to do the same type of routine since it was NOW a signature move for the 'Comets.'

In talking with Marshall, I was disheartened to hear how things played out in their relationship, but did not hear any bitterness that could have easily festered in the wrong soul, when Bill who was making thousands of dollars ... in the fifties; refused to give Marshall and other band members a fifty dollar a week raise, when the guys clearly saw a check laying on the desk from a record company for $34,000.00 --- and back in those days ... THAT WAS A LOT OF MONEY! It ultimately led to a parting of the ways, but not before Marshall contributed to Bill's legacy by 'Slappin' that Bass' to several of the world's greatest and most memorable tunes, including 'Rock Around the Clock' and a cover version of BIG Joe Turner's 'Shake Rattle & Roll."

Marshall ended up leaving the group in 1955 before 'See Ya Later Alligator' hit the cultural mainstream and continued on with the Jodimars ... setting up residency in Las Vegas showrooms but eventually began walking on another road in LIFE after the group broke up in 1958. Eventually Marshall went into Real Estate, and interior design, ... making his bones.

It was much later that Marshall in 1975 caught up with Bill backstage where Bill introduced Marshall to his last wife, "a beautiful young Mexican gal and Bill's newest infant son, Pedro Haley." Marshall laughed when he was telling me the story, chuckling that; "I could hardly keep a straight face when he told me his son's name, but he turned out to be a really fine guitar player ... playing Flamingo music" Marshall went on to say, "I picked up Pedro's CD and found it to be extremely good."

Marshall began performing again in 1987 with the 'Original Comets' when they were invited to perform in Philadelphia in honor of Dick Clark. The 'Original Comets' also performed for NASA honoring one of the programs DEEP IMPACT SPACE missions in 2005 and the very next day found themselves performing in West Hollywood where Marshall ended up finishing the show with Bill Haley's younger daughter Gina Haley doing a reprise of 'Rock Around the Clock' and a song called 'Rock the Joint.'

There is so much more to tell about Marshall including his NEW BOOK 'Still Rockin Around the Clock' which we will be giving away ... autographed copies to five lucky listeners very soon on JST KLSX, and if we can get our hands on a song that he co-wrote with a friend Warren Farren called Viagra Rock and recorded with THE COMETS, which reportedly did very well in the State of Florida ... I WILL BE PLAYING IT! I'm hoping that I can get my hands on it SOON!

And while Marshall has recently suffered a bout with an aneurysm resulting in an amputation of a leg, Marshall is 'Kicking IT, SLAPPING IT and ROCKING IT - with a GREAT SENSE of HUMOR!

In looking back through the past few years ... I want to believe; it has served its purpose.

After all, look at the new studio ... it appears to be coming together rather nicely. Although appearances can be deceiving, I do remain in the 'fantasy' "This is what I've been looking forward to for a long time."

Herein lies the 'Kick in the Head' - "It Ain't Where It's Supposed to BE ... JUST YET!"

It looks sweet, doesn't it? When someone is pushing the buttons, it sounds ... halfway decent ... doesn't it?

ONLY ...

While we (I) remain, technically challenged, I have been at the mercy of others, who can do the job, only ... it takes a greater effort in this hectic work-a-day world ... and I have been put to the test ... of waiting ... AGAIN!

What a lot of people don't realize is; there are the 'working parts' to this 'thing' that are being left unanswered, until we actually get 'the funding' to 'make it happen' because, people are not as likely to dedicate the time, unless .. it becomes their primary job and focus ... no matter how much 'they' may be interested in the concept, or believe in the idea or dream.

People in this UNIVERSE / World are just not willing to take the risks or chances outside of the normal everyday work-a-day world ... and that is the truth. Don't get me wrong, or believe that I am not appreciative of all that has been done .... but I have another agenda; and that's to get where I'm going. I'm ready to get: RIGHT THERE ... RIGHT NOW!

I have been on this one thousand mile journey, and started walking a few years back, believing that, a new KINGDOM lies over the rainbow. It remains my FIRM belief in the spiritual world of energy, connected by an affinity of the mind, spirit, temperament and; the metaphysical nature of speculative reasoning and unexamined assumptions that have been logically examined or confirmed by observation ... meaning .... I BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING FOR A REASON ... while I'M TRYING NOT TO FREAK OUT when I want it all DONE RIGHT NOW!

I already see more people involved in programming, marketing, promotions, advertising, concerts and being in the NEW CULTURAL MAINSTREAM - that means --- I NEED THE PEOPLE who are going to get this NETWORK, WEBSITES, MARKETING, PROMOTIONS and ENGINEERING done the way it's supposed to be done without me constantly BEGGING for understanding, and for it to be DONE now.

I'm asking and I'm expecting to RECEIVE ... because I BELIEVE! ... it's TIME!

Does any of this make any sense to anyone? Okay, I'm going to bed NOW ... I have another five hours to produce for JUKEBOX SUNDAY NIGHT - while I work on those specials that are WAAAAAYYY BEHIND SCHEDULE ... but you're being patient ... right?

LOOK WHAT THE DAMN ENGINEER DID!

I looked at Jeff Hartig and told him, "I'm going to tell the people; look what that damn engineer did!"

It's going to be so worth it ... to you as a listener, and the man/woman sitting behind the microphone.

It may not seem like anything at all, but in my world as the man sitting in the chair for hours at a time: flexibility and ease of movement is everything, and I cannot wait to slide into a comfortable workspace that allows for the creativity to seep and ooze from every module, slider, mouse and monitor.

Look what he did to my studio Ma! Look what he's done to my control room! He took it and disconnected wires and tossed it aside Ma ... look what he's done to my Life.

It really is going to make so much more of a difference when the control room is correctly configured; allowing the computers to be separated from each other, so we can talk to the people, while chatting with them on the viral network, keeping up with the local mainstream and the whole ball of connectivity.

Brad Hardten has constructed the new top and bridge which allows for the Feng Shui and flow of energy. Brad is a great craftsman, but has never done anything like this before, and you can tell that he's beaming with pride with his accomplished work, and because I can't stop "grinnin' like a jackass, whose been eating briar's." Of course the new counter top and bridge isn't shown here, so there will be 'before' and 'after' pictures of a control room that's been in transition for more than three years ... but damn! Am I excited? YES!

You can see a little of the new Gun Oak Hardwood Flooring - which plays an instrumental part in being able to move around ... believe it or not. C'mon, you have to realize that; all of that bending and stretching isn't good for a person ... all of the time. A guy has to be able to 'kick back' and be comfortable if he's going to be talking to people while doing all of those other little things like ... playing music and passing on all of those tidbits of information to everyone whose always wanting to keep abreast of the "PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE all at ONCE ... RIGHT HERE ... RIGHT NOW!"

Even with my belief in GOD, I am into the whole Quantum physics of LIFE philosophy - (It's GOD'S PLAN anyway) and that's HOW WE GOT HERE! There is a MASTER PLAN that I'm not totally aware of, but VERY MUCH spinning like a top in the UNIVERSE anyway.

So ... with my FREE WILL I purchased a ticket on this ride a few years ago to see where I would end up; and for some reason, it seems oddly enough at times; like I'm on the "Detention Planet of the Universe" where I'm suddenly finding myself with more and more privileges from those ANGELS on HIGH who are looking after me (Protecting Me) in this CRAZY WORLD. I am truly grateful, it looks like its coming to PAST, because we're PRESENTLY making moves for the FUTURE.

That is what I truly believe! We are living in the PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE - there are multi dimensions of reality and this one is: coming more and more into focus. I know it's hard to envision the invisibility of a force and energy - but I feel it, and always have I guess! And ... that my friends is what keeps me pushing for the things that: I believe will make ALL the difference in the world.

I will not be 'On the Air' this weekend as Jeff Hartig, Brad Hardten and my boy Dennis get this carnival ride lubed with an appropriate amount of grease and upgrades to keep it spinning in rhythm.

And there will be a new person to introduce to you, in the next article (blog) who will also be playing a vital role in the NEW LOOK of America's Coast to Coast.

SLIPPED, FELL & BUSTED MY ASS!

My head was spinning about as much as it was the day on the slopes at El Dora, when in the 'Flash of a Moment' it all snapped; I heard it clearly echoing through the morning forest, like it was the only sound on the planet. I lay for a good five minutes ... writhing in agony as that sensation washed over me. There was no one there, but the Sun, a slight breeze and biting cold.

After the wave, I turned over and gave a sigh of relief, exhaling a generous shutter of breaths, exclaiming: 'Damn, that hurt like a son of bitch!'

But once the initial pain had gone, I just knew I was going to be okay as I began to stand up, still exhaling strong puffs of cold air; adjusting my ski's, glasses, cassette player and poles ... dusting the snow from my face.

I planted my poles and was getting ready to shift right and continue my 'Run' downhill from my occassional 'spill' as I always did, knowing that; even as I heard the 'SNAP' I felt that I could shake it off, but as soon as I turned right, my left leg was going the other way; and the PAIN returned as I fell back to slope.

Even with a couple of Peppermint Schnapps in my system, it was a greater 'Hendrix Experience' from the rush of natural chemicals coursing through my body ... as I could still hear the faint sounds of my music coming through my headphones!

It was the same feeling last night, although I wasn't skiing or even drinking, but could hear the wafting sounds of Reba McEntire's new song 'Consider Me Gone' coming from the studio as I lay at the bottom of the stairs ... twisting through the tsunami that came upon me; thanks to a pair of plain white socks against a hardwood floor and a lack of consciousness: in watching where I was going.
I FELL OFF MY HORSE! There was NO Red, White and Blue, but I did see STARS and I know that there will be a whole lot of black and blue ... in fact: There already is!

And yes, I've fallen off my horse before, but when I got back on this one ... I sort of felt that it may have been a Camel with only ONE hump!

I'll lay odds that I may be able to go at least a week without water, with as much swelling in my left 'ass' cheek. Damn! THAT SMARTS! And just about all I could think about was; are we still 'On the AIR?'

I mean after all ... when you have a two hundred and seventy five pound monkey falling to ground, bumping into things along the way, something is bound to shake loose! Should we continue to Rock and Roll? Or SLIP in a couple of country two steps?

MY RIFLE, MY ASS and JST KLSX! That is DEFINITELY going to LEAVE A MARK!

I haven't even had the guts to tell anyone that I do actually have a New Years resolution, much less mention that: it might have something to do with getting rid of the gut I've accumulated from three years of being in a control room everyday ... for these last three years ... or to finally realize ... "It's not a dream" I do have a gut and a radio station.

As much as I want it ... it's not going to happen, unless it's meant to happen. I'm having to adopt that philosophy ... to sit back, relax and try not to sweat it.

It's my NEW YEARS resolution ... to keep trying. "It's one day a time Sweet Jesus!"

Happy NEW YEAR and a TOAST TO YOU ALL! Maybe we'll see some GREAT THINGS HAPPEN this YEAR! I'd like to think it's meant to happen, because I WANT IT TO HAPPEN! It is my world and thanks for visiting.

YOUR FREEDOM to LISTEN is LEAVING!

Not wanting to alarm you in any way, but someone has to let you know that; the fences are closing in around you.

If I take time to put forward the concept and ideology of why, we're doing what we're doing here on America's Coast to Coast, will you read and keep an open mind; or would it not really matter to you? Opting only for the music of your desires? I promise I will not be affected by your answer, only you may be affected by mine.

Would it surprise you that a radio station in a major top thirty market in the United States does not even have a control room the likes of America's Coast to Coast?

Well, even with our studio problems (and I am VERY GRATEFUL to have what we have) I find it so incomprehensible that a corporation with infinite resources does not have even the basics for a cast of professionals to sit and have fun in a studio, but it's true!

The way of future radio is going to be so homogenized that; the radio stations do not care what YOU think, or what you want to listen to anymore. Hence; NO NEED for any workspace for any radio host, actors-actresses to work with, much less a phone system. But it is TRUE.

I want to try and give YOU a better understanding of what WE are faced with in the future, because YOU are as important to this equation as I am, only I do not want to keep using (I) when it remains so important to YOU also. The mere fact that YOU are slowly being taken out of the equation, when YOU remain the majority of the equation is maddening.

From this point of view, and I would like to think that I am a professional ... I see the immense possibilities of a wonderful new frontier in radio and entertainment, but I grow weary in the fight of holding onto my creative inspiration and passion: while the major Corporations in this Country are slowly whittling it down to nothing, using the word; economics as an excuse. What a shame!

We have been working toward this (something) company for the future for almost three years, on December 30th and; it remains to be a daunting task!

While I continue to read articles about the future of entertainment and radio going down the drain, while independent outlets like JST KLSX are fighting back without the resources, it makes a guy want to question, "What are these idiots really thinking?"

Are WE really asking too much to be on radio stations across the country as a new format that involves those 'Baby Boomers,' their kid's and their kid's kid's. It is happening ... WE are the ONES influencing the market, but why are WE the ONES who are being continually ignored?

If you will give me some time, to spread out the ideology, without complaining that I'm whining ... it will involve a greater sense of understanding that: it all boils down to money, and with that ... this is ONLY another piece of the puzzle that WE (I) remain to rail against, when it remains so important to YOU too.

All of you that have been with US for the last several years, already know that I care so very much for your continued support, and the fact that: YOU tune in everyday to listen, knowing that WE have been pushing this wagon for a very long time and for a very long way ... and I appreciate everyone of YOU. But I do have an agenda and I have to keep making the claim, in my FAITH to make it back into the cultural mainstream. I have to keep trying to get the message out there, and pushing for the ability to get back to where I can say, "Okay, now I feel normal!"

UH OHHH! Would you mind if we started a two way article (Your responses are important) in an effort to stretch forward toward the ground breaking soil of entertainment radio? It may be an effort in futility, but it may be a way for US to get JST KLSX's music and message to the world. Someone has to say something ... You and I. I have to be able to tell you the truth, without preaching to you, but only if you ask me. If you ASK me, I will tell you ... otherwise, I can do the same kind of radio, without giving you the PUBLISHED information.

IT WAS AS MUCH THEN AS IT IS NOW!

Okay ... this may be a little hard to swallow, but open wide; I actually wore a pair of shoes almost identical to these classic and 'styly' 'Huggy Bear' originals.

It was June 04, 1974, a graduation day in Anchorage, Alaska when I figured prominently in a pair of paisley pants adorned by these clogs as I walked down the aisle to receive my diploma, still unsure of my future; much less my career.

Hang with me, there is a point to this short story ... I'm about to unveil the connection between a pair of GOD AWFUL shoes, thoughts of being 'Cool' and my future as it began to unfold. Who would have thought that something so obviously hideous could have made me look like phony Curtis? And it never dawned on me?

What's it gonna take? Maybe a piano dropped from greater heights to penetrate the hard head I've been accused of having!

After graduation, my family relocated from Anchorage to the pan handle of Florida, now affectionately called GOD'S waiting room when; my mother blurted out the first hint that I was going to be in radio and entertainment.

We were en route down the Alkan highway in late July 1974 when this picture was taken, when my mother made the comment; "Why don't you go into radio and become a disc jockey, you have a very nice deep voice" I just looked at her and didn't give it another thought.

It wasn't until another couple of months when the opportunity presented itself through my father who was listening to a small AM radio station in Niceville, Florida WFSH, a country radio station ... while driving MY truck!

"C'mon boy, I called a radio station and we're gonna drop you off to get a job in radio." (we're - meant: the grandparents, my sisters and mother - all piled in one car).

Honestly, that is the way it happened; I found myself being dropped off to begin a career in radio. Yes I was hired, by Dan Harley, a rather portly man who dressed in black suits, white shirts with a little skinny black tie, had his black hair slicked back, smoked a stogy, drove a big Lincoln and called everyone Ace.

I remember that day like it was yesterday, mainly because of my first lesson in radiology: (learning to pronounce the letter W) but Dan's comment of being able to present an image as a country personality rather than wearing something that a pimp would wear, since WFSH was not a disco station, and if I wanted a job ... I had to understand the requirements went beyond just being behind a microphone.

It was a valuable lesson, that has been long in taking hold, but it's one of those little things from the past that is as important today, as it was then. It has made me remember why I love being in this business, and why I don't want to give up on the dream. Besides, I had the ideology grilled into again in 1983 and that also afforded me the thought; I think I can, and I really LOVE the perks.

I haven't been able to get that thought out of my head, and it's either ruined me, or will make me the success I've always intended to be.

Radio was so much greater in the 'Hey Days' of 40's through the 60's, but; there came a day in 70's and the 80's when I was taught that the freedom of Real Radio, was going back to those days that added so much diversity through ONE individual in a cast of many, who could blend all of those elements into the hills and valley's of a roller coaster ride through music and entertainment.

Little did I realize that it was a comment from my mother, later my father who would put me on this career path, where less than eight months later said, "When are you going to get a real job?"

MASON'S POINT - DOWN BY THE LAZY RIVER! A REAL LAZY RIVER - SWEET!

The whole purpose was to 'Get Away and Unwind' and to 'Recharge the Batteries' ... but as you might be able to see from this first photo - I can tell you that; my 'energizer' wasn't banging on the drum all day!

For whatever reason; as beautiful as the mountains are, with the refreshing sounds of the Poudre River gently cascading over the rocks and a temperate breeze flowing - I just couldn't stop thinking about this RADIO station. But, I did quickly fall out, and woke up an hour later with Judi and Joanne laughing at me ... because my rear end was sticking out of the sleeping bag, and I guess it just seemed a hilarious reminder of something hideous in their slightly inebriated state.

I think my dog, Harley was even chuckling, but I'm pretty sure that his lips never touched a beer ... as he sat there just watching me sleep. What a dog!

Can you imagine what was going through his mind? Being in radio ... I know a couple of quick zippy lines that come to mind ... but I'm really not sure as a reader, you can take it. Or if my comments when I rolled over to remark to the women, would make any sense --- as I do so much want to be able to be ... just myself. But I will wait until the real opportunity presents itself. So be prepared for the real coming out party. It's inevitable.

Who knows ... with the lack of reality - I'm thinking it could be an HBO Special. That's how screwed up I'm thinking when I see what they're producing these days. Isn't that just the craziest thing? You see what the mountains can do for you? I think this is where this radio station was born back in 2005 when I was at this very spot. Whoa! De Ja Vue!

While I was in the mountains, I thought back on some of the opportunities that have presented themselves in my LIFE and how I might not have been really prepared for them, as much as looking back on them and thinking; 'If I'm ever in that situation, I've got to take a deep breath, relax and then let it just flow from me ... like water from a vase.'

For some reason I think there has to be a religious overtone to that thought, or maybe I picked it up from somewhere in the ethros - if not from a sermon ... or some really wise man who was quoting from something ... wise, from somewhere ... at some point in time.

Aside from being a 'Freak Nick' with all of these thoughts traversing the deep crevices of my mind ... I didn't want to give people the impression that I was a 'Big Bad Voodoo Daddy!'

Outside of dismissing any clever solution in favor of throwing a little salt over shoulder and moving on, I was very much wanting to get some hold on those thoughts, so I could be 'On Top' of the insurmountable changes that are coming up with JST KLSX and http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ or could it be just a plucked wild nose hair away from figuring out WORLD PEACE?

It makes your eyes water, just bringing yourself back to earth. It does feel refreshing when plucked, and makes for a full breath in your lungs. Oh ... the mountains can turn that free energy into something useful ... IF we could only be heard for the TRUTH.

We camped at the very same location as we did in 2005, and I had 'called' it before we had even arrived in Roosevelt National Forest. Judi and Joanne thought that it was weird when I kept saying; "I'll bet you that we get the same spot."

They were both amazed when we turned off of mile marker number 97 and wound our way to spot number 29 to find it vacant and nicely raked, waiting for our arrival.

Joanne had been fretting about the vehicle in front us on our way up the mountain, saying; "I know they're going to get our space Mason. If you hadn't wanted to stop as McDonalds before we started up - we'd have our camping space." What a pessimist! "Joanne, RELAX - they're not going to get our space ... you'll see!"

And look what happened, we got the choicest spot in Kelly Flats. There is something about the intuition in a person's mind that intrigues me that makes me constantly search my thoughts for a clue to what might be coming around the next turn in the river, and trying NOT to freak out about it .. because I do know that; While I do have what I believe to be a free choice in making the decision ... THERE is a PLAN to GOD'S will ... and I know it's just gotta be floating around the next bend in the river.

My mind is always clicking ... as you might be able to tell. And while I sat around the camp table --- I was actually able to sift through the economic times tables of possibilities called a business plan for JST KLSX because it's fallen to me outside of the other chores to befall me ... but I guess I'll really know the business ... inside and out, and up and down the river.

By the way ... this is Mason's Point on the Poudre River in Kelly Flats - It is GORGEOUS - and oddly enough --- it's not far from Masonville, just a few right turns off of Mason Jar Road (NO KIDDING). The ONLY one I Named was the POINT - and the reason for this story, or what would be the POINT?

'The DIAMONDS' - DIAMOND DAVE SOMERVILLE AUGUST 29 - 30th, 2009

Truly one of the most amazing people who has had the opportunity of conversing and playing with some of the 'World's' GREATEST Rock and Rollers, while Rolling along himself is 'Diamond' Dave Somerville, lead singer of 'The Diamonds' and also of 'The Four Preps' who took the time to call and speak to Mason Ramsey? - of ALL people.

When American Graffiti came along in 1973 asking, "Where were you in '62?" 'The Diamonds' carried 2 of the top songs on that soundtrack that brought an era even more ALIVE and has been a fundamental base for that core for more than forty years ... and 'Little Darlin' Dave Somerville is still 'Strollin' along with a career that has brushed elbows with every known name in the business ... Chuck Berry, Paul Anka, Frankie Lymon, Little Richard, Connie Francis, Bobby Darin, Buddy Holly, Brook Benton, just to name ONLY a few ... and Dave along with those artist are what we have been living these years as the planet keeps 'Rocking Around the Clock.'

Personally I feel as honored talking to these Rock Icons ... today who have and are contining to shape our lives, as much as IF I were right there with them, when Dave rode the Greyhound bus sitting next to Buddy Holly as they spoke of the 'Music Craze' and how long it would last ... hop scotching from town to town, playing the latest thing ... 'Rock and Roll!'

Imagine being on that bus and catching Chuck Berry's performance as he scotch taped the driver's microphone inside his guitar to entertain his fellow artist like Lavern Baker, Ritchie Valens or 'The Diamonds' as everyone would join in on the sing along. What an amazing time that must have been.

To hear a man like David Somerville talk about those times, does very much give a person a feeling of the magic that was unfolding, and does leave a listener with a closer connection to the music and the artist. No one really had any idea that it was going to turn out the way it did ... but there definitely was an energy that electrified an audience, and the artist themselves, because they knew they were a part of something special. But, how long was it going to last?

To date: It still hasn't stopped from evolving into more and more of David Somerville pushing the limits of entertainment from music to television to movies and radio specials ... keeping it moving and ALIVE with the perfection of a master of ceremonies, who has been honored into at least four musical hall of fames, as he continues to perform with Dee Dee Sharp, The Coasters, The Platters and other stars who are still providing audiences with the treasured memories of our LIVES.

Dave Somerville was and is as diversified when it comes to entertainment, not only as a singer, but as a voice over artist for National and International clients and an actor as well, with parts in movies and television ranging from; 'Star Trek,' 'The Fall Guy' with Lee Majors to 'The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo' or another classic movie - 'The Daring Doberman's' and so many other credits including: Being on the 'Tim Conway Show' or 'The Smother's Brother's Show' which only adds to his Golden memories ... not to mention the laughs that must have been left with him just from being around those clowns. I remember those shows and how much I laughed as a kid, and now can now look back and think - 'Boy, would that have been fun to be a part of all of that?'

David's song writing ability inspired the television “The Ballad of the Unknown Stuntman,, inspired the creation of the ABC television series "The Fall Guy"starring Lee Majors and Hottie Heather Thomas. Amazing to be in that circle of friends including Leonard Nimoy who went on to become 'YOU KNOW WHO?' but for Dave to be in the series too? What a FUN RIDE to be David Somerville with so many friends who are artistically creative in so many fields, or to even have the pleasure of standing next to a comedic genius and Icon like Groucho Marx drop a spontaneous classic line ... to a waiter at an L.A. party that would leave you laughing for years.

As much as being in all of those other circles, David was even in league with the likes of Willie Nelson. WILLE NELSON? Yes, Dave co-wrote 'Troublemaker' for Willie becoming the title tune for 2 of Willie's Albums. I've got to tell you --- Dave has been in league with Willie and at the same time on the other end of the spectrum - Henry Mancini, who changed his LIFE. It's in the special coming up on JST KLSX.

It only goes to show anyone who looks at not only the music, appreciating it ... on the surface, but wanting to dig a little deeper will come to know: how much one man has influenced the lives of so many others ... and we get a chance to be a part of that man's memories 'RIGHT HERE and RIGHT NOW' on JST KLSX.

Oh brother! One of the reasons that I haven't been writing as of late, is that I'm not sure IF anyone - outside of our 'Loyal' followers are interested enough in hearing 'the same old story' about where we're headed when it comes to 'Playing on the Radio' or being in the cultural mainstream of LIFE.

The biggest word in LIFE is IF, and IF it works out - any person should, according to their wishes and dreams - live that dream.

But here's what it takes; faith, tenacity and a whole lot of endurance in creating a world, and then deciding to walk through the door ... setting up shop ... and actually begin living the dream.

But now what? Is a person supposed to just keep on waiting for it to unfold as most do, pouring more and more time, money and effort into something that they really believe in? Or, is that the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing repeatedly, only hoping for a different outcome?

Yes, I've heard those analogies - and it really is a quagmire that a lot of us seem to have gotten ourselves into.

While I really do believe in the future of entertainment radio ... waiting on the world to catch up, and still not making any economic headway ... but believing in those financial windfalls that are eminently possible, once we find those precious few people who can help move a business along. Only, I'm not so sure it really takes as much convincing as much as it takes in finding those 'Special People' who have the 'passion' as opposed to paying people just for the pleasure of 'having a job.'

"It's what I've decided to do as a living because I love the dream, and now I've got to remember that I love to LIVE LIFE!"

Is it possible to keep the faith, by holding onto the insanity of tenacity and endurance? ... fearing not the hole in this path? Or is it the same path ... and the same hole? Hmmm! Radio! What a great concept ... talking to people and playing their requests to make them happy. Programming to the 'Boomers' and their replicant's. Maybe that is crazy!

OKAY - JUST a FEW PICTURES of a GREAT TIME at OUR BBQ & the ZOO!

Okay - Here are just but, a FEW - and I mean only a few pictures of our little 'Get Together' with people who came to see us here at America's Coast to Coast / JST KLSX to share a little bit of barbecue, some of the GREAT Colorado weather, the Denver ZOO and http://www.RockandRollHeaven.net.

I have more than two hundred pictures from this last week - and I know that there must be another few hundred on camera's from Dotty, Panner's, Jan, Connie and Ron - so I am certain there will be a a couple popping up in e-mails and on Facebook.

When I get a chance to compose a little story ... it may make you laugh, knowing that there's still pictures out there of Panner's peeking through the bushes while posing with 'Tilly' the hippo, and then ... Connie scaring the crap out of me, just from the expression of knowing when the 'lighting' was going to strike behind my back, causing me to jump. Or the vicious rumor that 'Mason swiped Jan's motorized wheelchair and went for a joyride,' forgetting to tell her that the accelerator was turned 'WAY UP!' "HEY KID LOOK OUT!

Or that Dotty was so enamored, not ONLY with 'Hot Ron' but 'Harley' as she STUFFED HIM with HAM (Harley - not Ron) and then kept him busy with 'FETCH' (Ron - Not Harley) and that the whole weekend was a great time, even with Kate Brown & Joanne Barney, getting DOWN with the WISE CRACKS on Mason's tequila use. WHAT! I only had three!

I was busy giving Mary Day's daughter Alyshia the SPIKED Watermelon, and keeping the kids busy with Root beer FLOATS while trying to hold onto the RUBBER Chicken and the ONE they KEPT wanting me to SWING around my HEAD. I had a really good time, and I do hope that everyone who came by also had a GOOD time.

THE RICK DERRINGER SPECIAL on JUNE 20th & 21st Starting at 12 Noon Mtn TIME!

When I met Rick Derringer for the first time, it was when we crossed paths back in the summer of 1965 via a terrestrial connection "Hang On Sloopy," when his song went straight to the top of the U.S. charts and my mother was blasting it on the AM radio in that 1963 Chevy Impala.

I'm certain there must have been another Mason, whose mom or dad was infecting them with that same great tune when it was hovering at the top five position on the UK charts in that same summer. (I've come to believe that we're all connected anyway).

Rick Derringer began influencing and shaping a little more than his share of the world before I really knew that I loved GREAT southern barbecue, but with all things; I was influenced by my mother who was tuned into Rick's VIBES traversing the planet and the Universe, and a little more than 44 years later, I get a phone call from Rick saying, "Hey Mason, do you like GOOD barbecue?"

Rick Derringer had been tuning into Internet radio stations and suddenly found himself on JST KLSX - http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ / America's Coast to Coast as he worked on his current album "Knighted by the Blues" in Clearwater / St. Petersburg, Florida - (Yeah we still call them Albums) before it was officially released on May 5th.

So in early April 2009 Rick found us, liked what he heard and sent me the song 'Sometimes' where I immediately began playing it on JST KLSX mixing it with the Classic 'Hang on Sloopy' and 'Rock and Roll Hootchie Coo' and it really was a 'Coo' for http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/.

Not only did I find the song exciting, I played it several times on the show for 'Our' listeners and when Rick's fan base began jumping on board requesting to hear again, not realizing that: this is exactly what is missing from the terrestrial world of Radio ... I gladly obliged their wants. It's called the FREEDOM of programming to a 'Wanting Audience' and it's what caught Rick's attention.

When Rick made the comment over dinner, I love to "Break for a little Brisket at Brady's" I laughed and said, "That's a great line that I can use in an article, when I write about this experience." Especially when the conversation turned to the New WAVE of the Future and I became a bit more impassioned with my statement, "Rick, I've been calling JST KLSX appointment Radio, because people are making it 'a point to be here' for the music and entertainment that they are not getting on terrestrial radio stations here in the present world."

Rick nodded with approval as I found myself beginning to 'Go Off' "and they can hear MORE than the 'Same Eight Great Oldies' as much as the GREAT new stuff that artist like yourself are producing, who are finding it hard to get some airplay in that WORLD where Radio Stations will not play those tunes together: and it's a shame."

It was when we began talking on the phone before the release of 'Knighted by the Blues' when I began working on the 'Rick Derringer Music Special' that Rick gave me the ultimate compliment “I saw the Elvis Presley movie Jailhouse Rock the other night, and it reminded me of your show. And in the movie, the Disc Jockey gets more requests for the tune, after inadvertently talking over the song and listeners wanted to hear it even more ... and it reminded me exactly of when I first heard your show Mason, it was exactly the same thing ... people could call in and tell you exactly how excited they were about the song and your interaction with them, whether it was by an e-mail or the phone and it was like it was in the Old Days, so you're right ...we're part of a new generation of radio and the involvement between the listener, the DJ, the Station and the artists ... all of us."

We 'Aired' the first HOUR of the 'RICK DERRINGER MUSIC SPECIAL' on the 5th of May when the Album first debuted, and now you can hear the whole four hour MUSIC extravaganza that includes music from artist like Bonnie Tyler, Cyndi Lauper, Steely Dan, Weird Al', Elvis Presley, Steve Miller and Jenda Derringer who is also an artist in her own right and a lyricist responsible for some of the great music produced by a very down to Earth Christian (and NOT afraid to admit it) Iconic Superstar Rick Derringer on 'Knighted by the Blues.'

The SPECIAL will run on JST KLSX - America's Coast to Coast - http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ on June 20th and June 21st. I have decided that because of the length of the SPECIAL, as we do on a program like this - we are going to run it back to back, so that listeners will have a chance to hear it at their leisure. BREAKING FOR BRISKET AT BRADY'S WITH RICK DERRINGER

It was only days before I was to leave Denver for Clearwater, Florida to see Henry Gross open for Joe Cocker at Ruth Eckerd Hall, when I received an e-mail from Rick Derringer, saying; "Hey Mason, I'm going to be in the studios in Clearwater right around the corner ... how would you like to have a little barbecue while you're here?"

Baby ... I LOVE BARBECUE! And when Rick Derringer, one of the greatest guitarist, musician and artist in the world is inviting little ol' Mason Ramsey ... I was in shock!

I had not seen the Spanish Moss hanging from the huge Oak trees in Clearwater for years, and nearly had forgotten how majestic it looked ... draped from the limbs of those giants surrounding Ruth Eckerd Hall and how beautiful it seemed: lining the streets of Safety Harbor, a small Pinellas County community where Mastodon's and Mammoths traversed the landscape in the Paleo period, peppered with tall palm trees and a beautiful marina.

It was a great concert with Henry Gross who opened to a full house, and Joe Cocker with his dynamic band really did GIVE concert goers their 'Night's Worth of Entertainment.' Henry changed it up a little by doing his more nostalgic tune 'Shannon' in the middle of his set, and closed with a tune, yet to be released called 'If You Were Mine Again' which received tremendous applause.

Lee Obritz (Shadows of Knight) was on hand to help with Henry's gig and sound check, while taking time to share a bite backstage with me and my youngest daughter Sharon Neville.

Sharon was as COOL as the salad she was eating while Lee talked about Henry and the business of music, but was not amused when I caught her unaware as she turned to catch a flash head on. Lee just smiled as we continued to talk about the nostalgic music and the NEWER stuff 'Not getting out there.'

It is the same thing Henry is experiencing as is Lee as is Rick Derringer and a host of artist, including Cheap Trick according to Rick while we shared a bit of that barbecue at Brady's Backyard Grill right there in Safety Harbor among those Oak trees and palms. It was a story that I knew was happening for several years when I was experiencing the growth as a radio 'Disc Jockey' (as some have called me) playing the SAME OLD TUNES and growing weary, when I knew that Tommy James had released 'Little Latin Lupy Lu' in 2005 and I was chastised by a program director for playing it, and ... having the nerve to play OLDIES that were not on the play list, but for some reason I lasted for almost two years before I QUIT. And it felt GOOD, because I had almost always been fired in my career, but actually got the jump on the last two employers ... the Jones Satellite Network and CBS' KXKL (KOOL 105FM), saying; "I can't do this for $15.00 an hour, it don't make no sense at all!"

So as we share an incredible brisket and pork sandwich at Brady's, I am hearing this incredible story coming from Rick about the plight of the artists who are feeling the same frustrations of not being able to get any airplay, that I heard from Henry Gross, and others like Carl Giammarese from The Buckinghams, or that Peter Cetera or numerous others were experiencing; and it's the same story that I presented to the satellite company, only being told ... "Mason, if you feel like you can get out there and do it ... do it, but it's not what we do."

And so the story goes, "Mason, if you will give us something more concrete and in writing, we'll give it some thought" and I immediately recognized that old story and said: "The only thing I can give you that is concrete is that April 1st, 2005 will be my last show."

I guess I have been on the illusionary side of the planet for longer than I believe, since it seems like a natural progression, but hardly believable that I just may be playing a part in the 'NEW WORLD ORDER of MUSIC and ENTERTAINMENT' according to Rick. It remains hardly believable the major radio stations and record labels can not recognize the NEW GENRE of Entertainment staring them in the face, and how LUCKY I may be ... in receiving the attention of Iconic artist that are coming 'Our' way on America's Coast to Coast, because we are willing to BLEND the OLD and the NEW, and to talk with these legendary groups and artists who shaped the 'WALL of SOUND' that the Whole WORLD wants to hear and be included.

I told Rick, like I've told Henry, like I've been telling EVERYONE ... I really BELIEVE this is the NEW WAY in radio programming, and ONE of the GREATEST Compliments I have received to date came from Rick Derringer, is when he introduced me to the owner of Brady's Backyard Grill, "This is Mason Ramsey ... the man who is doing radio like it was done in the GOOD old days, and changing the future of entertainment ... he is the man who going to make it happen, not only here in the United States but across the World!"

I was flabbergasted and a little embarrassed, and could hardly believe I was hearing what I was hearing coming from this extremely GIFTED man with so many accomplishments, and who has influenced so many major talented artist. Later I kept asking my oldest daughter, DeAnn who rode along with me; "Did I hear Rick really give me that kind of compliment?" "Yes, Dad, and he was very sincere about it too!"

As a Christian man, Rick Derringer shared his belief in GOD with DeAnn and myself as he gave thanks to 'JESUS' for his food when it was laid before us. As a Christian ... Rick openly speaks about his belief with his fans, as we spoke in detail about some of those aspects over dinner as well. Rick makes no bones about his beliefs and stands by his convictions as much as he stands by his music from the past, while he continues to pour out his talent today and as ... freely.

Rick Deringer's music is as genuine as is the man, and it shows in his personality ... as it sounds in his music. I do plan on completing the in-depth interview that we will 'AIR' on JST KLSX, since there is so much more to this special and the music on http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/. I am very happy that Rick would take the time in believing in someone like myself, as much as the other artist who seemingly are coming my way via the 'Unseen Hand' that some may call Fortuitous ... only I don't believe in accidental or coincidental ... only that we have 'Free Will' and I have chosen to step out on faith, because they 'Challenged Me.' Now ... I'm seeing the greatest talents who have influenced the world, coming into my reality.

Rick's album is 'Knighted by the Blues' and is a special we are doing on JST KLSX. I hope you can tune in for the rest of this special that: means a great deal to the future of America's Coast to Coast as it does for the fans of not only the OLDIES, but the Great NEW stuff being produced and worthy of being heard on the same station as their other hits. I can only ask for your patience as I continue to break 'their' will and forcing them to 'GIVE IN' ... only I am hoping to be a part of the future too, without 'them' (Corporate) having hard feelings for me in holding to my convictions.

OFF TO FLORIDA ... and COMING BACK?

OH GOD! If this ship, the QE II had wings, I would be cruising to Florida, instead of flying the WILD SKIES of Frontier! But then again, I would be a lot richer, and wouldn't be bumping my ass trying to get off the ground, and most likely ... living near water.

But I am boarding that plane tomorrow for a quick turn around trip, if anything to get out of the wife's beautiful auburn hair, so that she does not want to get out of the radio and publishing business, or the Mason Ramsey Business.

If all goes according to any plan at all, I know that I will be meeting Henry Gross and getting to see him perform, and perhaps seeing a little of Joe Cocker's performance, and then seeing Rick Derringer and his people, so that we can talk about an upcoming special on JST KLSX.

But just having the chance to drive around Florida and go to the beach and take a few pictures for the other unmentionable project is an added plus, that maybe will afford me the luxury of cruising on the QE II with the wife ... if she will still have me. Otherwise, I'll have to go by myself, and I've seen episodes of 'The Love Boat' and it could go either way. But then again ... I guess it was 50 / 50 when I got up this morning.

When the other things in my LIFE start to GEL - I'm really hoping for the best, but I'm growing weary of saying it ... over and over again. If it happens ... it happens. If it doesn't it doesn't.

So far, we have a radio station, and even though we're not making any money ... yet, I'd like to think I'm going cruising one day, while working leisurely. It could happen! I saw the documentary on Trueman Capote who was writing ... while he traveled by train across the country, and by ship ... cruising the sea, or by the seashore in a villa in Spain. It COULD HAPPEN!

And when it comes to the matter of coming back from Florida ... I have to because: I can't even afford to stay much less go.

GOING TO FLORIDA! RADIO IS CHANGING!

Uh Ohh! FLORIDA?

Yeah the birthplace of Mason Ramsey and no it wasn't 'Over the Moon!' I couldn't even tell you we even went to the moon, although I've been repeatedly told that we were there, but: the picture of Neil Armstrong stepping off of the Lunar lander from a photo shot that appears to be taken from several feet away, always left me wondering; 'What's the real story, did Neil run go set up a camera and run back?' It just has NEVER made any sense to me in the first place. I guess I have to believe because, who am I to believe any different?

I know that I was told, "Mason you're going to Florida to see HENRY GROSS and JOE COCKER on April 22nd!" That I do believe! Especially when Judi and Joanne made the arrangements while encouraging me with statements like; 'You can't afford not to go and meet Henry Gross and possibly Joe Cocker. We've got a radio station to promote ... and you've got to take a step here Mason."

Look out! The Eagle is landing April 21st and lifting off on the 25th of April.

Know ... when I get to the Ruth Eckerd Hall on April 22nd, 2009 I am going to be seeing a couple of guys, whom I have known for all of my broadcasting career, from afar and listening to their creative careers as I so haphazardly went strolling along ... never realizing that 'Our' paths would cross and how much it would come to mean to me ... and the changing landscape on the surface of music.

While Joe Cocker is obviously a name more recognizable in the music industry to a mainstream audience, I can not dismiss the artistry of a song writer and lyricist as much as Henry Gross who really does seem to be under appreciated as much as a few other Rock and Roller's of yesteryear, who still have that important Classic lying in wait for a 'Wanting Audience' and no where to go with it.

I have spoken of the 'Same Eight Great Oldies' that Corporate radio has been homogenizing to not only 'America' but the world, and it seems that I may be on the right path, especially when I run across great NEW MUSIC with the same feeling and blend of the Classics that; it makes me feel that ... I am in the right orbit.

Remembering a conversation with a former programmer JJ McKay from the Jones Network (A very Sweet Woman) I know she was amazed that I could even think that I would want to play a new song from Tommy James in 2005 when Tommy redid the song 'Little Latin Lupe Lu' from ... not only Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels and The Righteous Brothers from years gone by ... but JJ was hard pressed in answering phone calls from all across the Nation from LOCAL program directors who: were not mad, but amazed at how many phone calls they were getting when listeners flooded their station offices on a Monday morning asking, "Mason was playing a song called 'Last Night from Chris Anderson and DJ Robbie on an Oldies Station, and OUR listeners want to KNOW 'Where can we get that song?' "

I just happened to be working JJ's shift that Monday morning after previously doing the show JUKEBOX Sunday Night ... and having her come busting through the door on that Monday Morning nearly frantic asking, "Mason ... you are not sticking to the format, but the radio stations are receiving a tremendous amount of calls about a song you played last night more than three times?"

Looking back on it ... it was like stepping off the Lunar Lander for the first step ... never realizing that I was actually traveling to another part of the Universe ... at least consciously ... and I never got to hear her boss (old what's his name) say, "JJ ...We have a problem!"

I only wish I could see the picture of that moment instead of replaying it in my head ... over and over again. Did it really happen? As far as I'm concerned ... Mason Ramsey left a very large footprint, not on the surface of the program, but right up their whazzu! I know the Music race is changing, and people like HENRY GROSS are still in the program coming up with better shuttle devices to get us (Baby Boomers) what we want - and I would like to think that I am having an effect on the program by piloting some of the music to your ears at the expense of blowing a valve before we make it back to the planet with the GOOD NEWS!

In going to Florida my main thrust is to see that concert, but to also work on the agenda for the movie, the sound track (Location Still Shooting and Video Shots) and to take at least ONE DAY for a much needed recovery on Madeira or Clearwater Beach, where the details of Bodies in the Bay began to unravel from a distant MOON called OHIO. You'll have to read the novel in understanding, but it all comes into play when you have a tragic story which tells itself, and sold by great NEW music and a few classics from the past, while we return to the greater days of movie making and the gracious days of entertainment radio ... unafraid to step out on the surface.

For now ... I am excited by the continuing possibilities of 'no true coincidences happening' on this journey. But I do need to get out of the capsule for a while, while drumming up the funding and resources for the projects that will bring us closer and back to the center of the Universe.

We remain humbled by your constant desire in wanting to tune in to http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ JST KLSX - and can only hope that your continued patience will deliver us from the EVIL empire that may lay some claim in keeping us silent and from the terrestrial airwaves ... only the Internet is taking over anyway (only a little farther away). Are we not as good as they? Can we not be as creative as their programmers? Doth not our desires remain as prevalent as the reality of any man's dreams?

I realize that Rock and Roll has been changing as most of you have already heard me preaching on many occasions. So I will keep it short in JST KLSX form and say it like this; Thank you Rick Derringer for sending us the single on your new album "Knighted by the Blues!" that is set for release in late April.

As Rick Derringer already knows, and what listeners who are turning to the freedom of Internet Radio programmers are finding out ... is that; even the most talented artist with the most extraordinary abilities are finding it really hard to get some 'Air Play' on radio stations across the country.

With the comments I've received from playing the NEW Henry Gross material ... they are virtually the same type of comments I have been receiving from a throng of new listeners who are already familiar with Rick's new single 'Sometimes' and those comments are; 'This Music Sounds like the Rockin' tunes in the old days of radio!"

This is the truest of statements from the works of not only Henry Gross, but from Rick Derringer - and I already know: there are so many other Rock and Roller's who still have the WANT and DESIRE in CREATING some of the "Jamminest" TUNES that ... can make up for the incompetence of Radio Programmers and slothful Record Executives who are NOT giving IT their ALL, when it comes to resting on THEIR LAZY laurels and not pushing the 'GOOD STUFF!'

While talking with people in various trades and watching the world as it goes spinning by, it does have a simple solution: Get some real programmers willing to take a risk in playing some new material and blending it with the feel good stuff from the past. It can be done ... I know it, and I feel it. It's ONE of the very reasons that I keep preaching - and hoping that we can expand our audience, not only through the Internet, but back into 'Mainstream Radio and the Entertainment Industry.'

The WORLD is beginning to know we're here ... and now so do people like Rick Derringer, Henry Gross, Wayne Fontana, The Buckinghams, Bobby Hart, Barry Whitwam & Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits), Clarence Collins (Little Anthony & the Imperials), Vance Brescia, Rich Spina and others who are just as important to today's music scene as they were yesterday.

I for one, am still very excited in being 'On the Radio,' and have the same DESIRE and PASSION in being able to "Gift" the music to a 'Wanting Audience' but know that we still have a long way to go. And I do feel like people like Henry Gross have given me a gift, as much as Rick Derringer allowing me to at least preview "Sometimes' for http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ and it does make for 'The Old Days of Radio' coming around again.

For those of you, who are just now becoming familiar with us ... you may not realize we have been here for the last couple of years ... doing shows mainly on the weekends, Saturday Night at the Oldies and Juke Box Sunday Night, and feel as if we are making the strides that we've been planning on, and seeing them come to fruition, especially when we talk with very talented musicians like Rick Derringer.

WAYNE FONTANA - A MINDBENDER!

I wanted to take a few minutes to set the stage for another upcoming special on America's Coast to Coast / JST KLSX with Wayne Fontana who is currently on tour in the United Kingdom.

After more than a few corresponding e-mails from Wayne and a few of his fans, I know we're going to be in for a GREAT special just coming off of the Henry Gross Special whose NEW music is still permeating through our library, and will likely be for years to come.

But now that I have become a little more familiar with Wayne Fontana, I do also have a tremendous respect not only for the man, but his music as well, knowing that he as much as Henry Gross, or even Rick Derringer, (who we will also be speaking with) who is also another stylish Rock and Roller ... are all faced with the same problems plaguing radio and entertainment these days; which is a 'Real lack of honest AIR PLAY for the Real TALENTED Professionals' in a world dominated by 'Music and Movie Sculptor's' who want to promote 'Rhianna' through people like Chris Brown who has demonstrated that: "He can drive a Lamborghini with his left hand while punching with his Right."

Wayne Fontana has had his hand involved in music for decades, but I already know Wayne is going to want to speak his mind on Politics, as much as Henry did, and I do not mind a bit ... since there is a need to enlighten the audience of fans who are not as aware that: their music is being taken away from them.

One of the reasons we find ourselves here at http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ is to do JST KLSX and to do just that. I am looking forward in speaking to Wayne Fontana and also Rick Derringer --- and I know that Stevie Cre is setting up The Velons for a Sunday Night Show. ROCK, ROCK & ROLL with HENRY GROSS

Radio and entertainment has definitely changed through the years, but nothing has really changed about radio or entertainment; except the business about the business.

After falling ... seemingly into 'the business': I have to wonder, if it were not really a part of the WHOLE plan from the beginning.

It was October 9, 1974 when my first full day of radio began to unfold at the Okaloosa County Shrine Fair, and where I met my first star Dolly Parton and her sister Stella, knowing all too well --- they would never remember me from the hundreds of thousands, but ... it didn't matter - I was hooked. Most likely I was already 'Hooked on Radio' from the years of listening to the little transistor and hearing Tommy James' 'Crimson & Clover' or from the sound of Ray Charles' 'Crying Time' or Johnny Wright's 'Hello Vietnam' not to mention a few thousand other tunes! I can still feel the excitement of that night, and how great it made me feel, even though the small AM radio station WFSH I worked for: was so country and 'NOT COOL!'

It was obvious that as a teenager, I wanted to be a part of the 'In Crowd' but ... this was my beginning, and lessons to be learned about the 'Real Freedom of Radio' were still nine years away. Something called 'Payola' was just another lesson to be learned on my second night of being taught 'The Ropes' by 'Earl the Pearl Simpson Junior' (Receiving free sandwiches from Mama Rosa's is another story) ... outside of playing the songs people wanted to hear, because 'they' were the ones 'TUNED IN!'

In not having a 'Real Mentor' I have sort of have been drifting along haphazardly like the feather in Forrest Gump, endlessly bumping into LIFE as I have been moving through it ... but, in those days of radio even in 1974 there was still something called 'Playing the Songs' people wanted to hear, albeit it country.

Having the chance to be connected through many concerts over the years and meeting a few of the stars along the way, I have never had a chance to really begin connecting with the musicians until we began JST KLSX and http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/. It seems this venture of becoming a radio station and tying together the multi-media aspects like the writing, or the scripting of a movie is heading somewhere ... especially with the way things are changing in the world, and the wonderful listeners who are dedicating themselves to a thought of 'Wanting Something Different.'

It has become even more so prevalent with the recent turn of events with Henry Gross, who has lifted the 'Spirits and Freedoms' of an era that seems to be returning, knowing that: Henry was already a few years ahead of Mason, and it may be those years which make even more of a difference in the passions that still lay instilled deep inside of a man who has so much more to say, than to be remembered for 'One Major Song.' It may be why I personally feel connected, than just interviewing 'A Star' or meeting them on a tour junket.

Here's where people like Henry Gross are making a difference ... at least in my LIFE! Henry is giving me, a disc jockey ... not with the power of a Howard Stern or the Young Ryan Seacrest or other BIG market radio personalities ... but Mason Ramsey something that those Corporate Ridden Ponies do not have: A Chance to play something BRAND NEW! I dare not say it's from 'A Rocker whose under appreciated' but it seems to be so true, that so many of the Iconic artist of YESTERDAY: that we've been dealing with ... are in the same boat. These artist have BRAND NEW music with the FLAVOR of those days in Radio that would BLEND so well with THE GREATEST MUSIC ever produced, that it seems to be such a shame ... Corporate America can not take advantage of something so obvious and staring them in the face.

Another song from Henry's upcoming album called 'Rockin' All Night Long' will be the second time in as many a few weeks, Henry has honored me with being 'First' in debuting a song that has all of the qualities of a song that feels as strong as anything ever produced from the GREAT DAYS of radio gone by. I firmly believe Henry Gross and his friends like Felix Cavaliere are as talented today as they have been in their careers, and deserve to be a part of the NEW Genre' of Radio Entertainment in this day and age. I know that 'The Buckinghams' or Tommy James and a few others like Jonathan Edwards, or Henry Paul or Peter Cetera are every bit as strong in their writing and musical abilities, but are so being relegated to the past, instead of a world that should be keeping up with them.

Has anyone ever thought that we could develop a show called 'American Geezer' since you can not compete on Idol if you're over twenty eight (28)? These people are 'PUSHING CRAP' down your throats and most of the NEW stuff; has no substance to it: it more or less is homogenized. Henry has assured me that there are some really great new tunes that are out there, and 'We' can produce them into a new Genre' --- I've heard them ... and I know with the right backing, we can bring it back around ... "There is a SHIFT in the PARADIGM" and I want to think we're onto something wonderful.

The 'Baby Boomers' who are flocking to casinos, or vacation resorts and other venues are slowly being introduced to some newer stuff from their favorite artist, but NOT through Radio airplay - because the Corporate Radio Execs are afraid of 'Mixing it Up!'

Be listening for the re-airing of THE HENRY GROSS SPECIAL on March 18, 2009 because people here in the U.S. wanted to hear it, but people in the United Kingdom have asked that we also play it so they could hear it in a time more convenient for then as well. Like Joe Brown from England singing with Henry (in this photo). It was Joe who wrote 'Mrs Brown You've got a Lovely Daughter' and 'I'm Henry the Eight I Am' that Peter Noone became famous for singing. We're here to inform, educate and entertain the audience in a fun and positive way.

People have been drafting along with the 'Status Quo' for years, and don't realize they have been slowly segmented into categories and are really missing the wonderful NEW Stuff by accepting what is being FORCE FED to them. I still don't have even the smallest inkling of where it 'THIS' is going to lead ... but it does make me feel like I am being given a wonderful gift, not only through Henry's Generosity ... but those listeners who constantly come here to support JST KLSX ... and to my associates who know: "Something better break soon ... or Mason is gonna crack up!" I love you all for your constant support ... because you know what we are up against. To me ... it would seem so simple to have a conglomerate who believed in our ideas, and would support us to run with them ... for I would believe WE would do so much more for the industry, and that industry is supported by its audience ... and that's what it really is all about.

We're going to eventually be talking to other stars like Wayne Fontana, but be listening also for another special of NEW songs that BRING back that OLD Flavor of Radio --- and Henry and his Friends will be leading the pack ... at least "HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL!"

Sometimes when I talk with people, I feel like a blathering idiot after I've either walked away or hung up the phone. Okay, well maybe not sometimes, lately it feels like ALL OF THE TIME!

I seem to have this thought that my desire for accomplishing these entertainment goals may have some measure of reality laced around them, at least when I come across music icons like Henry Gross.

Henry may not look at himself as an Icon, but I do, possibly because I am familiar with his music from the past, and the other iconic figures Henry talks about, including Joe Brown, Felix Cavaliere, Jonathan Edwards, Tommy James, Garry Tallent or even Jimi Hendrix or his friend ...longtime music lover and promoter Barry Ollman; but, when I hear Henry talk about the music industry, it's almost as if he's talking about the radio industry, or corporate business in general ... and for the most part ... it just isn't fair to talented musicians like himself, or the other artist who are working in a world that has GONE CRAZY! Oh WAIT ... IF it HASN'T ... IT ALREADY is well on its way!

Yet, I feel connected to Henry's spirit, because he keeps on driving the music train, writing and producing a product deserving as much recognition, if not more than some of the 'So Called Commercialized Artist' who are being fueled by the 'High Almighty Almost Worthless Dollar' ... whose producers are still pumping out those irreverent tunes, or movies for that matter ... and for the most part, have no redeeming qualities. Without putting Maria Carey down, because she really is a very wonderful singer, and ultimately a sexy vixen ... and I agreed with Henry's assessment: "While she's scored as many number one hits, you just can not name one tune" especially if you're like Mason. Maybe I just don't give them as much credence as those 'Oldies' we grew up with, but even more so to the newest tunes that are coming onto the cultural mainstream ... I FEEL as IF I am BEING PUSHED ASIDE! Yes, there are some DRIVING tunes out there that I LOVE, but I can not remember their names ... other than Freak a Leak, and some other crazy tunes that are thumping ... but I only use them for other production pieces, knowing I would have to EDIT their content ... for not only the BABY BOOMERS but the GRANDCHILDREN.

Well ... if you've come to know me ... I refuse to go quietly ... and have made attempts in giving artist like Henry Gross a place to showcase those songs that are NOT being given the attention they deserve in today's entertainment landscape.

When I spoke with Barry Ollman last night, who was kind enough to call me ... I found myself beginning to fall off the edge as I started hyperventilating about the future of radio, music and all of the possibilities that I've been encountering over the last several years. And while Barry assured me that; "Mason, any friend of Henry's is a friend of mine" ... while it was a very kind thing to say, it just made me wonder ... 'Am I riding that radio train, blowing my own whistle, sucking in the fumes of my own smoke?'

We're living in a very different world, yet Henry, Barry and others are still trudging along doing the thing that makes all of the difference in the world, and I'm pretty sure that it's that ONE thing called 'Passion' that connects those who have the tenacity and fortitude to continue doing what they believe in ... for all these years.

With that being said ... I have to remember to temper my enthusiasm ... mainly because I feel that my train is sometimes behind schedule and I'm Ol' Casey barreling down the tracks trying to make up the time. If I'm not careful I may end up 'Running up on OLD NUMBER 9!'

IT'S ALREADY BEEN TWO YEARS!

You really think that I am not going to make it? OMG! This is nothing!

If you haven't heard as yet, XM / Sirius is having to come up with a few million bucks just to avoid going bankrupt, because THEY ARE IDIOTS! About as much as the FOOLS who are already steeped in the 'Bail Out' Monies being given to the Bankers by 'Our' Government representatives, who are playing hide the 'Nickel' from the people who really need it ... like you and me!

This is not just about Radio, it is about the way Corporate America and the Government is fooling its people, who are supporting the 'World's Economy,' while they are systematically steering the middle class into competing against not only itself, but the 'Cheapest Labor' in the world, like those in India, China and Mexico ... who by the way, do not have even the simplest of basic Human Rights that we see here. But ... watch out ... that is rapidly eroding ... all in the name of a thing called Globalization, or 'THE NEW WORLD ORDER!'

I have seen it first hand from a Corporate side of radio, who want to devalue their talent pool by having them work for less money, while squeezing them for more hours, because of an emerging technology. Sadly; most of those people who are accepting it ... deserve it but ... not people like me, or you, who have and are becoming a little more aware ... and willing to do something about it instead of waiting for a handout. But, because those who are making the decisions at the top ... are GREEDY Bastards, and are NOT thinking of you, much less me.

It is the VERY reason that I chose to 'Walk Away' from a company who did not want to employ someone of my nature, for whatever reason, but also another VERY good reason why I have chosen to take up the legal gauntlet as 'In Pro Pria Persona' against the injustices of a few American companies and the Local and Federal Government itself.

Some of you may have heard the stories about Mason educating himself to the ways of history through 'Broad Experiential Experience' but here it is in a nutshell: GIVE ME SOME OF THAT MONEY they're giving to these companies, who are homogenizing our LIVES, and OUR MUSIC.

These bail outs to American Companies, who are still laying off people in the United States while still employing ... even ONE foreigner ... does not make ONE DAMN bit of sense ... when we are the people who deserve the natural resources ... FIRST and FOREMOST. This includes companies like XM / Sirius who are being run like most media companies, with no thought for their audiences.

But here's the problem: You're NOT getting the whole story, but do the math: 300 million Americans, allowing 'Their' government to print up Hundreds of BILLIONS of Dollars in MONEY when there are only about 6.5 Billion people in the world. It is very simple math and the numbers DO NOT ADD up, in a country where paying taxes is voluntary, but with criminal and civil penalties ... IF you don't pay them. I don't mind paying my share, but my share is being given to Juan, Pun Jab and Dong Lee, who are already being systematically trounced into oblivion, and the money they get is going back to the GREEDIEST of those at the top. I feel sorry for Juan, Pun Jab and Dong Lee, but I feel more sorry for the people in my own backyard first.

Me? I started a radio station in the hopes that I could at least have a job that would give me the freedom to branch out for the future, with a paycheck and an ability to educate, inform and entertain those who want to come along for the ride. Don't worry about the water ... I feel confident that we've got a 'Higher Power' on the other side of the river, and there is a rope attached to this vehicle we call JST KLSX and http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ --- but, please don't mind me ... all I can say is: I really think I can do better than those nuts, if they give us the same chances. Plus I think you'll find it a whole lot more amusing ... and I don't mind you laughing at me, as long as we've got a place to lay our head, bread to eat, heat to sleep and great music to listen to when we're up to our necks in the THICK of a gushing economy.

PLEASE LET ME HELP STIMULATE THE ECONOMY or this Company! I can tickle it ever so gently, and leave a smile on more than a few faces. But I know ... I don't have the 'Papers' or the 'Pedigree' and maybe a few skeletons in the closet, but DAMN! They have those things and they're still mucking up the RIVER!

Go ahead call me a smart ass ... I can take it!

HENRY GROSS 'A NEW TREAT!'

If there were any of you listening on the radio last night, which would have been Thursday night the 29th of this glorious beginning of the New Year 2009, you would have heard a brand new song called: 'If you were mine again' by Henry Gross.

It was early in the morning that I had received an e-mail from Henry who is recording in Naples, Florida and said, "Mason, thanks for all of the encouragement, and remember you cannot do it alone."

Although some very sage advice to me, Henry was also referring to his collaboration with one of his dearest friends, Garry Tallent who is best known for being the long time bass player in Bruce Springsteen's, E Street Band who will be performing in the Super Bowl this weekend.

Henry was up until the wee hours of the morning working on that new CD, after Garry suggested a change in a line on one song called "Hope Springs Eternally" because Garry didn't feel as if it worked, and so Henry took that advice and completed the song, which he says turned out great.

In light of 'Our' up coming special on my interview with Henry, I had been listening and editing the special, and felt compelled to send a message to Henry because ... I kept hearing the passion arising from those segments, and hearing him talk about the business of being in music, and sometimes how hard the pitfalls can be ... but, I kept hearing about the friends who he counted on and who really believed in him. It felt as if he were a kindred spirit, knowing it was just as likely to be radio / broadcasting that he was talking about.

There is something about this guy, Henry Gross who doesn't stop making music because the record execs won't let him in, or is easily deterred about the business of entertainment, because he already knows what it is going on ... and he's going to "break on through to the other side" no matter what.

It isn't that Henry Gross hasn't already made his Bones, because he has. I already KNOW and feel that Henry has SO much MORE to offer that 'this Corporate America' is not picking up on ... and that is GOSPEL.

And there are so many other talented artist that are being 'Type casted' because the business side of America is so afraid of change. It's the same about radio ... so it feels to me as as if they are intertwined. It's what I've BEEN WHINING ABOUT in RADIO. I'm a Baby Boomer too and "I LOVE THIS STUFF" and the CLASSICS! C'MON!

As a token of his gracious and generous personality, Henry sent me ONE of his brand new songs, 'If You Were Mine Again' that my administrative assistant Christine Daniel, who immediately picked up on my enthusiasm ... gleamed a 'bit' line from a Mike Meyer's movie, saying, "Well Mason Ramsey, I think Henry Gross just gave you a little bit of that MO JO back to you!"

And brother did he EVER! Henry sent me a copy of an original song that has NEVER BEEN heard on any radio station or the Internet, and WE were able to play it FIRST. To me that is exciting stuff!

Let me tell you exactly how it made me feel: Just LIKE the Days of when a Disc Jockey had the opportunity of being the first one in America to 'Break' a record into the mainstream ... and BOY DID THAT FEEL LIKE ... I WAS THE S**T! And it didn't stop there ... the ballad made me think of the soundtrack for the Movie project that I have been forever and a day wanting to complete, based on the story I wrote those many years ago called Bodies in the Bay. Music and Movies just go together and it only makes sense, and if I ever had an opportunity of using great music to tell a story, I know what I would do ... no doubt.

Let me wrap this up by saying; Henry Gross is a very talented and gifted singer and songwriter ... and deserves as much credit to be a part of the "New Cultural Mainstream" as do the others, who have put in their time and are still working the 'Oldies' circuit doing the material they've become known and famous for, but have also been writing and creating NEW stuff that needs a starter home, before it becomes a NEW COMPLEX of radio stations who will finally be catching on to the New Fever ... I want to think it started here on JST KLSX and http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ with this NEW philosophy. Sure there are hundreds and thousands of Internet radio stations, but I really believe we're going to be at least the ONE who may make a difference. Henry Gross said, "Mason, you can't do it alone."

Amen Brother! I'm on the "Revolutionary Road" and I need soldiers, without a doubt who have been already freezing without their shoes in the Valley of the Forge. (I know ... it's Valley Forge .. but think about it) We're being hammered into the MOLD HERE!

'BIG ART' RADIO & FRIENDS

In defining why things happen in LIFE ... there is no way of coming up with an explanation, until the day comes when a brick hits you in the head, and you suddenly remember, 'Oh, maybe that's what that meant!'

It was less than a week ago that I received an e-mail from ARTHUR SAYÃO LOBATO saying, "Mason ... is this REALLY YOU?"

I was shocked to know that 'Big Art' was possibly walking back into my LIFE after all of these years.

I can remember being on the radio at KOKU-FM (Hit Radio 100) in the Micronesian Islands, when Art came strolling through the doors in 1986, and it was the beginning of a friendship ... leaving some very treasured moments, and thought 'Gone' except in the hallowed shadows of my mind.

The last time I saw Art was in the early nineties, when we were on a 'Cave Dive' in Gainesville, Florida where Art was on his way to being a Dive Master among his many accomplishments. The 'Cave Dive' (a 120' hole) sounds more impressive than it really was, since Art and I had been on many 'Dives' that were very adventurous 'Wreck Dives' and at depths sometimes at a hundred and thirty feet. What was even more challenging is we often jumped from a pier with full dive gear to swim to a wreck in the middle of the Apra Harbor, which has to be at least two football fields. Peter Peterson, who was my diving instructor and later, business associate was responsible for getting me hooked on diving and convincing Art, 'Hey this will be cool ... lets go." http://www.mdaguam.com/tokaimaru.htm

There were more than a few dives on that wreck ... and a few other wrecks, that turned into night dives ... not to mention some experiences that seem hardly believable ... that it had anything to do with radio or broadcasting whatsoever. But, it was how Arthur and I spent a lot of our time ... either in the radio station or diving the holes and caves of Guam.

Arthur was on Guam mainly against his family's wishes, since he ran off to join the Navy as a young kid, but finally "Saw the Light" after doing his duty and immediately got back on track ... returning to school and following in the family's way of being a success. Arthur's father was a very successful and important member of the Shell organization, and certainly left him with that same fortitude for achieving success. I guess his mother was partly responsible ... if not more so than 'the old man' but, alas ... 'BIG ART' has turned himself into the businessman he was always destined to be.

Arthur has always had a fascination for being in radio, since we have laughed 'Our Asses Off' in the course of being in a production room creating commercials for clients ... but more importantly ... I firmly believe 'He GETS it!' Now more than ever ... it is exciting to see him doing so well.

In just the last week, Arthur was surprised to know that I was doing this 'Radio Thingy', much less the 'Writing Thing' and started sending me 'Numbers' and 'Ideas' and it was like watching his swirling little head ... all over again, about ready to explode with excitement ... thinking: 'What can it become?'

I am so glad ... just to hear from Art and know that: he now has a beautiful family, and traveling between his home in Sao Paulo, Brazil and his other home Chicago, where he is graduating with honors and will be receiving his MBA from the University of Chicago in less than two months, while he works in the stock market.

Hearing from 'Big Art' made me laugh ... and laugh some more, remembering the friendship that I shared with some like this, that: I have only shared with only a very few. But, it made me really smile when he said, "Mason, I really think you're on the right track with http://www.RockandRollHeaven.net you just need a GREAT business plan ... and that's the easy part!"

I'm not going to tell you what I told him, but it had something to do with diving! I know Radio is changing, and so is business ... and I do know that: things happen for a reason. I'm a firm believer, "I didn't go through what I went through ... just to become who I am today for ... nothing."

Those of you who have read the many articles that were here before, and removed ... already know that I am here to persevere, because 'I believe I will.' I already know that 'Big Art' is moving through 'IT' as well. I'm just very happy to know he remembers the GOOD TIMES and how precious FAMILY, FRIENDS and LIFE can be. I am POSITIVE it wasn't for nothing.

I am VERY GLAD to see you Art and to know "I haven't lost you in TIME."

FRIENDS for LIFE!

With the constant 'Behind the Scenes Help' from persons like, not only my wife Judi, but Christine Daniel and Bill Santo ... there are others like Stevie Cre and Dennis Minardi --- but none so like Judi, Christine or Bill who without their constant understanding ... the most loyal listener would have heard a much different course of events .... silence.

When I got this card today from Chris, it came with the most hilarious inscription ... which wouldn't make much sense to others, but I could not help but keep laughing throughout the day, and it kept Judi smiling too. Here's a hint: the new technical helper is a woman --- and Chris sent a few Federal Reserve Notes saying, more or less: "Mason here's a little bit of money for you to give to that woman, so you can get what you need."

For most of you, you realize that we have been struggling to put together a business that is aimed at a 'Growing target Audience' called the 'Baby Boomers' but who are being phased out by an uncaring Corporate world intent on believing that a younger demographics of people are pulling the purse strings. That is so far from the truth ... especially in this economic world today. Especially when we are also 'Hell Bent' on rcreating the industry for a 'New Generation' of younger listeners, since we see them coming to us all of the time.

Chris, Bill, Judi and Steve have been here for me, to help in growing a business, but for some odd reason, it seems to be taking a little more time than usual ... primarily because we are a 'Poor People' intent on believing that we are not.

We know the Web Site is a very important part of the foundation of a networking community, since we see 'Our' loyal listeners ... who keep showing up to the same old web site that I have been complaining about for more than two years ... listening to the 'Stream' while I keep promising a more creative and developed site ... while priming the new 'NEX GEN Software' to run the radio station.

Most can not imagine, aside from those who have 'Really' come to know us ... that ... for most radio station programs in major markets ... there is something missing ... and these are the people who have all of the resources, including people and money to have the 'Best Thing on the Planet" but they JUST DO NOT WANT TO ALLOW talented people to do their thing, without standing on their throats ... mainly because they want to make ALL OF THE MONEY. Is it because they're afraid to pay them what they're worth ... or, are they just that GREEDY? I think it's because they are just that GREEDY.

I wish I could explain all of the details surrounding the business of getting a business off the ground, but it may sound a little self serving. I can tell you this ... I know it can be done, but it can not be done by only one person, no matter how much anyone wants to believe that 'Dave Thomas' (Wendy's) knew every nuance of his business ... but: that one person has to have the professional people who also believe ... and are just as passionate ... and as passionate as our listeners.

And while paying for some of the professional people, before finding the 'Classy Gal' who has the passion and can help, I've found them standing on my throat, which is one reason ... I have come to realize ... it may take a guy who just says, I don't care about what they want ... it's what I want ... since we're paying them to GIVE people like our 'Loyal Listeners' everything they deserve and more.

To my friends ... from the insiders to all of those most 'loyal listeners' and to the newbies coming on board ... I love you for all that you have done for me ... and for this company. I will continually say it ... we have something that can ... and will be one of the best entertainment networks gracing the airwaves, and not only in small markets ... but the medium and larger markets too. I CAN FEEL IT!

2009 - THE MOST WONDERFUL DREAM!

I am not a banker, nor am I a lawyer, but I have taken on the system in working toward a business that requires the expertise of at least these two professionals, and at least a few others who would and could do things that even a banker or a lawyer wouldn't have a clue ... only because they don't have the expertise.

So what's the problem? The professionals themselves ... and I'm certain that I'm no different, although I want to believe that I could be the one who would make a difference.

It was the very first day of the year 2009 and I had one of the most wonderful dreams that I have ever had in such a long time ... and it was so realistic. While, I was turbo charged from the evening before, and the last day of 2008 with the thoughts of always wanting to 'make something happen with this business' ... but, I'm not sure it had anything to do with radio, television or any purpose of business, but the business of this LIFE itself.

The important thing! I believe it to be a sign of things to come. I don't want to get into the details or explicit nature of this dream even as it had nothing to do with anything sexually, but it did have everything to do with the meaningful relationships between not only myself, but that of a wonderful woman, whom, I do not even know ... and a man, that I have no idea who he was or even knowing how he was involved with the relationship, aside from causing me to laugh uncontrollably, and introducing me this mystery woman, who I spent all day with, but who later turned and walked out of my LIFE, only to to return the next day with loving and open arms ... because she said, "I cannot stop thinking about you and want to be in your LIFE."

It may have been symbolic ... since I had the feeling off 'Being' so totally in LOVE that it was an overwhelming feeling of becoming more complete upon her return ... and then I woke up.

When I did wake up ... I kept saying over and over, "That was one of the best dreams that I have ever had in such a long time." And while I have had dreams of flying and those other feel good dreams, this ONE dream left me with that feeling of believing that 'Good things' were going to be ... clearly in my future.

Perhaps it may have been inspired by a comment from Marlee Harrison who has constantly been as supportive from Indiana as have others like Dotty Albritton and numerous others, like Christine Daniel or Bill Santo as much as my wife Judi who have been following the slow progress of this 'Radio Idea' ... but, as I responded to Marlee's supportive e-mail about another Internet radio station, she made the comment, 'Mason, don't hang up the headphones yet ... it's going to happen."

We started out more than two years ago and I've been believing that it will ... and for even more than those two years, but it becomes a forever and a day effort to get these things accomplished. Just ask Christine or Judi when they hear me complaining. However, I say the same thing over and over again, when I look around and see so many possibilities while the 'Splash of water bounces in slow motion' at the top of that instantaneous 'shot' - knowing ... there is more water flowing into the bucket (at least in my mind).

And even as it may seem as that I may be some bi-polar effects happening from the constant ups and downs of trying to get it 'off the ground' ... it runs the gamut of any shock wave when it comes to setting off any explosion, or even creating one. For me, this is nothing new, its just recreating an industry in an economic period where most people can not take a chance of being involved unless it means they 'Get their Cookie.'

My hypothalamus is pumping and the Dopamine levels are still not diminished. The Adrenaline may be a little low, but I refuse to believe that I'm not, STILL IN LOVE with the idea of believing there is something very exciting around the corner. I just may be needing to take a breather ... until that mystery woman shows up, arm in arm with the man who seems to be a force who also believes the world may be in need of a GOOD laugh. For some reason ... I think it had to do with the recreation of entertainment radio and our movie. Anyway, it's what I want to believe ... and it just made me feel that good. So I'm still not going to 'Hang up the headphones' just yet ... but keep my eyes open for the People who will make the difference. That little droplet of water at the top ... is just another 'Moment in time.'

But, when those people come to me ... when we're on that upper level, I promise to be as nice as they were mean to me ... and even be nicer by saying, "You've really got to make sure you pay your dues, so you can really appreciate all of that effort you're putting into it ... just in making it happen." I'll make sure that I'll be the 'forst' one to congratulate them on a 'Job Well Done!"

RADIO - THE WEB and ALL it INVOLVES!

First, let me apologize for having to place the fonts all over this image of the new background for the web site that we've been working on, but I have to make sure people realize ... this is work that I have spent a great deal of time producing, without it being hijacked for someone else's site, much less a music site, before we can get it completed on 'Our' new site.

There just does not seem there are some of those that I have dealt with who have the same passion, desire or vision for the future of radio or even advertising or entertainment ... even when they are presented with an opportunity of a LIFETIME.

For the most part, people in general can only think of one thing, "I need my cookie now!"

Of course LIFE is all about the choices we make and the lessons we learn, and that will remain forever and a day, a progressive education and sometimes; most people will eventually look back and want to kick themselves for not taking advantage of that something, that would have changed their LIVES for the better ... even as it stares them right in the face.

I too have suffered from that lesson, and one of the reasons I believe that I am expending a lot of time and effort NOW to see this company come to LIFE, but I wish I could look back and talk with that younger man, and tell him about all of the wonderful things LIFE can offer ... but it will take some good old fashioned hard work, guts, determination, maturity and an ability to invest in the future ... not to mention having the faith in seeing it coming to fruition.

Without really having to say it, but feeling the need: those people who have the talent or skills but not the foresight, are in for a long road of experience as a teacher, and it just takes so much time ... I know, I've been there ... done that!

With that in mind, it is one of the reasons that I have had to produce 'Our' own art for the new web background, as much as beginning to learn how to learn the mechanics of publishing it to the Internet, since the original agreement with a designer failed to culminate in a cooperative agreement. While agreeing to complete a site for a specified amount of money, it ultimately came down to consitently saying ... "I'm taking a real hit on this site, and I'm going to need more money, if you want me to do any changes."

So when you have a person, who may have the ability but not the foresight to see the potential for the future, because they may be blinded by the necessity of the economy ... it can cause a few problems, and if they are as uncompromising about their work, "Holy Crap! Give ME A BREAK! Didn't we PAY you what you asked?"

Imagine: what do you think would happen if like minded and creative people would collaborate on a project that would be their future for the rest of their LIFE? I know, it would be one of those multi-million dollar companies like Microsoft or Google that started with individuals who saw an industry for what it was in its infancy and wanted to re-create it ... making it better ... knowing they had a better operating system.

That's where I stand! While we do have several of those like minded people and listeners who believe, we occasionally run into those who only do ... want their cookie, because someone is handing them out. I faithfully hold to the dreams of a future in working with experienced, talented and mature people who can see the recreation of an industry in its infancy ... "Right Here, Right Now!"

We are in the midst of owning the swamp land in Kissimmee, Florida long before Walt Disney saw it for what it was worth, and now we've got the ability to change our circumstances drastically, and that is what I cling to in my dreams and faith for the future of America's Coast to Coast.

HENRY GROSS - HE'S ROCKIN'

Even before I had a chance to speak with Henry Gross ... my administrative assistant Chris Daniel had already the pleasure, and warned me: "Mason, you better be ready, because he is something else but, I think you're going to really have a good time ... because he definitely has a sense of humor."

Chris was not off base at all! When Henry picked up the phone, and before I knew it ... it was already three and a half hours later.

In a parallel universe it was almost as if I were sitting with Henry talking about the time we were at Woodstock and standing less than twenty feet from Joe Cocker, who was singing "With a Little Help from My Friends" when it started raining, and Joe was barely able to get through that final song of his set, before that momentous thunderstorm disrupted the concert for several hours ... creating all of that glorious mud.

In talking with Henry Gross, I had a chance to hang out with Jimi Hendrix and experience Paul Butterfield and the Blues Band and a few of the other great rock and rollers of Woodstock including the Who, Creedance, Jefferson Starship, Blood Sweat & Tears, The Band, Country Joe & the Fish, Janice Joplin, Santana, Canned Heat, The Grateful Dead and hear Henry do his rendition of Arlo Guthrie's famous line, 'through his improbably nasally voice,' 'The New York State Thruway is Closed Maaann."

If the conversation would have lasted any longer than the three and a half hours, I am pretty sure I would have been convinced that; I had been there. If I had known Henry Gross for as long as he's been rockin' and rollin' ... or for nearly as long as he'd been jammin' with the rock legends not only from Woodstock but running through history in those circles ... it makes me wonder ... where would I be now?

Well, I don't really have to wonder ... at least in this Universe, knowing that: I am 'Right Here ... Right Now' and now my path has crossed with Henry Gross giving me a chance to share in the greatest moments of music from the past: and now the future with Henry's new stuff on the upcoming music special with America's Coast to Coast.

Here is something else that I have gleaned from my conversation with Henry. He shares the same passions that has been coursing through his bloodstream for the fifty seven years that he has been on this planet ... and I'm just now catching up.

As one of the founding members of Sha Na Na and his musical talents as a song writer and melody maker, I am certain that people who will tune into America's Coast to Coast on JST KLSX and http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ and hear a vibrant and passionate entertainer who still has a lot to give and LIVE for in this LIFE. Listeners will hear a man who has a zeal for words and music and a LOVE for the people who inhabit the planet. Henry inspires and it seems to be a bit contagious.

SOMETHING IS HAPPENING!

I hate to say it, outside of sounding like Martin Luther King, Jr., but "I have a dream!"

Noooooo! As if anyone who hasn't been following our progress and hasn't realized I've been dreaming the dream for more than a couple of years, and painstakingly ... if not agonizingly whining about the web site, then let me remind you ... the web site is a key and important factor in the development of America's Coast to Coast.

And so with that, we have finally been able to muster at least a better attempt in revamping the original web site, that 'I threw up' there ... more than two years ago. What you will be seeing in the very near future, possibly a week ... is a basic design that will turn the corner for http://www.RockandRollHeaven.net as I continue with the rapid eye movement.

For some reason it always seemed to back fire when I have been moving to make any headway, especially while explaining the importance to others, of even the smallest of elements, not only with the web site, but with the overall concept of presenting a radio station for a new generation of listeners, while holding fast and true to the 'Baby Boomers' who I now refer to as ... "The Baby Booker's."

Wall Street and Madison Avenue are of the mind that 'Baby Boomers' are already too set in their 'Own Minds' to be swayed in the advertising marketplace ... and therefore are a not worthy of spending money on any advertising venues ... thus creating the fading, soon to be Lost Generation, if we don't do something ... now.

This is what we've been moving toward. The 'Baby Boomers' are the new 'Baby Booker's,' who are traveling to vacation destinations, renting cars, staying in hotels, eating at restaurants, gambling at casinos, buying bobbles for friends, family and grandchildren. With the most expendable income in the future, it makes this ... the 'Baby Booker's' of the e-generation a solid bet.

As slow as it has been, keep watching for the increasing developments of this web site that will be providing, not only the greatest music of our lives, but will eventually allow a younger generation to catch up to those 'Baby Booker's' who are turning that younger generation onto that past generation of Good Times and Great Music ... when it was a whole lot more fun to be alive.

As I am still living and breathing ... I know that I am not ready to lie down and let others dictate to me what looks good, feels good, smells good, taste good and definitely what sounds good ... when I have been doing all of those things for the past fifty years.

It's going to be good ... I have a greater feeling of ... "FINALLY ... something is happening!"

HOT RON! IN RADIO? WHAT?

Oh ... say it isn't so!

What is happening in radio today, is so blatantly obvious that it screams out from the hallowed depths of listeners like Dotty Albritton in Crystal River, Florida who has dug her heels into the fleshy side of America's Coast to Coast and http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/.

We have Dotty's attention, because we're giving Dotty what she wants ... the GOOD TIMES, the GREAT OLDIES, the Future HITS, a LITTLE Bit of Mason Ramsey ... and even a smidgen of HOT RON!

What we need is for those loyal listeners who have been tuning us in for the last two years, here on 'OUR' radio station is to begin ... spreading the viral infectious word ... 'America's Coast to Coast can be everything they've been looking for in LIFE,' especially when the people are wanting a little bit of programming that becomes the truth ... "We are all in this World, and we are the community that is wanting a return to the Freedom and personality of 'Our' music, even it includes the likes of 'Hot Ron!"

With the rise of technology, this Internet Radio thing is growing by leaps and bounds. Even as we haven't been on the terrestrial side of LIFE for these last two years, we are giving listeners what they want ... at least every Saturday and Sunday Night, as we continue streaming music from one song to another 24 hours a day - 7 days a week.

And with that: We're doing what we're doing --- and we're moving forward as if we're on those affiliate radio stations ... and I guess, if Dotty wants to bring 'Hot Ron' along for the ride ... well, who am I to kick him out of the studio ... she wants what she wants ... and that's what we do here ... play what the people want! No hiding behind phony research and marketing ploys. We know how to blend the music, and we know there are people who want what we've been doing ... for even more than the two years here --- and when I worked for those other guys ... and girls.

We know what radio is all about, and now we know Dotty's inner thoughts (oooohhh) --- yeah, she loves the Kalin Twins, some Johnny Cash, even The Marshall Tucker Band and a few of those newer tunes we've exposed her to --- and now we've got to satisfy her needs for a little of that 'Hot Ron!' (Whewwwww) ---

Well, I've been told over and over again ... "We believe in you Mason ... it's coming, just don't give up! Talk hard, play harder, be honest and tell it like it really is ... but, be gentle to your audience ... they're the people who love you!"

And even Die Hard 'Hot Ron' LOVES the music we play, and he's been able to get in a few 'digs' at my expense, but only because ... he's been loving the attention, and especially last night's show --- the Southern Rock Bands Special. I've never seen a man like 'Hot Ron' nearly break down and cry like that ... clutching a picture of Dotty in one hand, and an album cover from the Marshall Tucker Band in the other. What a truly amazing sight!

THE NEW STATE OF RADIO & OLDIES!

Honestly, I can hardly contain myself ... sitting in this seat, trying to drill it into the heads of people who are not only in radio, but hoping to convince or inspire those in and around radio and entertainment ... that: there is something WONDERFUL that can be happening, if we can only wake 'THEM' up!

Kent Kotal from Chicago who publishes a weekly newsletter, called the Forgottenhits@aol.com has been singing the praises of a slipping genre of radio since I have become acquainted with his work. Kent knows he also is part of the growing majority, that seems to be lingering or at least being pushed by the wayside ... namely because of the 'Know it all Radio Station Guru's' and Advertising Geniuses.'

So, in the latest newsletter, Kent says it for us ... in the name of resources and finances ... and that is what we need.

"Guys like MASON RAMSEY and RICKY KAUFMAN and formats like SAM LIT's Radio Station and TOP SHELF OLDIES and SCOTT SHANNON's TRUE OLDIES CHANNEL are already streaming ... but NO one jock can do this all by himself!!!"

It is a Jungle out there ... and we need a few more monkeys, but perhaps a few Zoo keepers who have the bananas. Might as well say it for what it really is: Someone else who has a few of those bananas, are going to want something in return ... but that's okay ... as long as they understand ... we live in the jungle, and know how to swing from the trees. However our habitat is slowly shrinking. Save a genre from growing extinct, by being smart; if you have only a few of the passionate jocks who understand the nature of the beast ... feed them ... and they in turn will feed you!

"If he (Ricky Kaufman) or MASON would staff up their stations with like-minded thinking jocks who LOVE this music and KNOW how to broadcast radio for The Top 40 Market, they could KILL the competition."

"Let MASON do his thing for three or four hours a day ... EVERY day ... live and interactive where listeners can respond to what he's doing ... let RICKY THE K do his Top 40 Schtick three or four hours every day ... add in (other) "personalities" like BIG JAY SORENSEN and WILD BILL CODY and DAVE THE RAVE ... bring a guy like GARY THEROUX on board who can tell you more ABOUT the music than you can EVER even HOPE to imagine ... and make it ALL sound interesting and entertaining ... snag somebody like LUJACK in the morning ... OMG, what a radio station you'd have!!!"

There is NO DOUBT in my mind ... that we could rule the PLANET! I know what I'm capable of .. but do they? Let the gamesmanship begin! I have the conviction, but do not want to be convicted of trying to define who I am, while others slooowly catch on, while we've been in it for the long haul. Catching the feeling and spirit of a generation that has long been growing as I have been ... the time. The new 'Indie' of marketing is what we're going to define as those who are the 'Independent' thinkers who are impacting the world. We are the Vanguards of a cultural sect pushing the envelope of a world that seems intent on pushing us aside.

Thank you Kent Kotal for the accolades! We can and will prevail, because we have to ... it's the only real game out there! Soon enough, we will find the financial resources or those Zoo keepers who believe in restoring the Humanity of this explosive majority of Baby Boomers who refuse to labeled a dying genre.

WE KNOW WHAT GOOD RADIO IS ABOUT!

The following article is the truth, and nothing more than the truth, and from the heart, as I have come to know it. I have lived in this ‘Illusionary’ world ‘Hell Bent’ on describing itself as the ‘Real World’ and we are being forced to accept it, through compliance or risk being labeled an outcast for thinking such inconceivable thoughts ... as “Believing we have a say in the matter.”

The ‘Mainframe’ believes we are nothing more than little children or perhaps ‘Slaves’ who need guidance, wanting to be told what to do, and how to do it. (But, I am not one of those … and that is the problem!)

For what it may be worth, this new technology called a computer has people dialing into a new medium, Internet Radio (note the sarcasm), but it is much more than being able to listen to your favorite songs, downloaded by people only wanting their favorite songs. They (the audience) want so much more. They want to be a part, while being educated, informed and entertained.

The Cultural mainstream of Corporate radio programming ‘Suits’ have been pounding the same tunes into the minds of Americans, who believe; they are being given a choice, when asked during the ‘Market Survey’ “Which of these Ten Songs, do you like Best?”

When a listener is calling to make a request to any radio station, the ‘Drones’ sitting behind a control board are told to respond to anyone calling, “We’ll see if we can get to it for you” when in fact, the philosophy has been for more than twenty years … “Mason, most people calling to make a request, are calling for a song that is in our rotation, and it will be coming up anyway.”

I have found this to be so … un-true, especially as radio itself is:
“Growing through Time.”

I have been told on numerous occasions by industry professionals, that I, as an industry professional do not count, when it comes to what I think, because I am on the inside … and to me … that is absolutely absurd!

As a person, who LOVES music, movies, reading and LIFE … I most certainly am ‘THE ONE’ who does know as much as anyone, because I too am a FAN! Just because I am in the business, does not dismiss any fact: that I do not know what a 32 year old female likes, much less a 65 year old male … not to mention an 18 year old girl, or a 70 year old woman.

I am one of the ‘Target Demos’ in this world, and as an insider with more than thirty-five years of experience in radio, television and BEING ON THE PLANET for an additional seventeen years … I KNOW what looks GOOD, tastes GOOD, Smells GOOD and most certainly FEELS GOOD!

Do not dismiss my Quantum abilities as a renaissance man who has a greater grasp of the T.O.M.A., (Top of Mind Awareness) that permeates our world as it continually grows “Through Time.”

Who are ‘They,’ in telling ‘US’ what we should like or not like?

Except when I am made to feel anything through my own experiences … I have seen the future more than thirty-five years ago, and it has been catching up to me, as I have been … slowly catching on.

We are part of the ‘Eternity Brigade’ … a soulful group of individuals believing in the whole existence of an expanding consciousness, that is an infinite expanse of un-ending energy … vibrating throughout the ‘Ends of Time.’

In the pulsating inter connectivity of a digital age, and the World Wide Web, it only connects our inner collectivity into a prime consciousness, which has been rising from the sub consciousness … from all of those years of being on this planet … in this mortal state … and from our ancestors, who have passed it on to a welcoming generation. Who has been looking into the future, and beyond the ‘Here and Now?’ Well, I can honestly say, that I have been … for years.

I was thrust into a passion that has been evolving from the time I was listening to the ‘Classic Roots of Rock and Roll’ even as I was in the other ‘Womb.’ There was a constant thumping of guitar riffs belting out Chuck Berry’s ‘Maybelline,’ ‘Rock Around the Clock’ from Bill Haley and the Comets or even ‘Ain't That a Shame?’ from Fats Domino and ‘Earth Angel’ from The Penguins.

It was likely that: when I was in the other ‘Womb’ waiting to make my grand entrance into this ‘Womb’ that I picked up on some of those early influences, and carried them with me, as I walked through that door.

It wasn’t just 1955 that spawned Influential experiences on a singular point of conception, but decades of LIFE before that lost period, which thrust another individual like myself into the mix. Of course, 1955 was the year that Albert Einstein exited this ‘Womb’ and has crossed over into another dimensional existence.

So what is it that I am talking about? A future that has been evolving with the minor changes, that are ever so slight … that it hardly seems noticeable, until you consciously take it upon yourself in looking back through the years to see the changes … and in discerning them for yourself. You could begin calling yourself a historian, or it may be … ‘we have been this way before.’

Radio is coming around again, from the same ‘Hey Day’ and ‘Fun Times’ that were the days, when our Grandparents, (those people who listened to radio in the thirties and forties, and remember what it was like to be involved in a ‘Theatre of the Mind’ living room surrounded by their own imaginations) … and all from the mere creative imagery that was being produced by the ‘Freedom Players’ of those great radio personalities, who went on to stage and screen, and who remained with us for decades, becoming legendary personalities. Their work and images will live for thousands of years … thanks to the technology that has caught us, and is surpassing us rapidly.

The largest growing population in the world today will be the largest and most influential population in the future … and that will be people like you and me; those people are called the ‘Baby Boomers.’

However, as we ‘Grow through Time’ there is a new generation of audiences out there, who have yet to experience that same flavorful earful of radio that seduced the greatest generation this Planet as yet produced.

It remains evident that ‘Our’ generation did not spawn the excitement of radio and its creativity, but it is ‘spawning’ that resurgence in holding onto the excitement for ‘Our’ own sakes, and the sake of a generation coming up behind us. It is ‘They’ who are taking a greater interest in the melodies, not only as the music by itself, but in recreating a feeling … just for the commercial aspects from that era. Could it be from a lack of that generation’s ‘Own’ creativity … and, that: there is … really nothing new? Or is it just revamped?

Nothing has changed, but everything has! We are going to be doing it again, and you will see a revitalized insurgency in the Classic Age of Rock and Roll --- and it is not just Rock and Roll, it is the Classics that spawned those tunes … and the creative programming that: was produced in those wonderful vignettes and skits, that took us out of our environment, or the troubles of the day. It may be the same history beginning to repeat itself, only in a modernized world galvanized by the romance of a futuristic Star Wars

This is now becoming “Appointment Radio” --- because people will make it a point to be here. However, most people are thinking that all of the new technology will leave the old conventional radio in the dust, and to a certain extent … it will.

For now, radio programming providers like XM / Sirus have a growing base of listeners, who are searching for the diversity, and are paying a monthly fee for the privilege of hearing more … in a broad range of a segmented genre, than commercialized radio’s three – five hundred play list. It is one of the reasons that you have 900 channels, and audiences becoming so fragmented in search of their very own ‘Home.’

Those programmers are so smug … they think they know it all … and claim it’s from the research they have conducted. Only that research is so slanted with the leading questionnaires … that it works to their advantage. They may as well be Casino owners.

America’s Coast to Coast Entertainment Network was created after http://www.rockandrollheaven.net/ as I have been looking to hang onto a career that has never really had a chance to ‘take hold’ but, I have no illusions other than the freedom that I was given as I began my career in the early seventies.

As I have been evolving with radio and the entertainment, I do not believe through the course of my career that I may have been as lucky as some, who have gone onto much greater fame and fortune, However, I do believe there may be a reason: That reason is the forever changing face of radio and entertainment, and a future that I am now beginning to play a part in shaping.

After doing ‘Saturday Night at the Oldies’ and ‘Juke Box Sunday Night’ on One Hundred and Thirty (130) Satellite Radio Stations across the country --- it has shown me that: There are people longing for the connection of the Fun Days of Radio Long Gone by the Wayside … they may be growing older, but they remember so much more. And there is a new generation who are catching the ‘Spirit.’

What is missing? Let me tell you: The ‘Passion,’ the ‘Spontaneity,’ the ‘Creativity’ and the ‘Social Community of People’ longing for a future of, ‘The Way Radio and the World Use to be.’

Major advertising firms are ignoring the new age demographic --- and we’ve been saying it for more than two years, and have the ‘Drops’ to prove it --- “From Eight to Eighty” of course, we’ve added “Old Crippled and Crazy” but, we are “Music for the Ages!”

We are blending the “Greatest Hits,” the “Forgotten Hits,” the “Lost B Sides,” the “Back Tracks” or the “Flavorful New Stuff” that has that ‘Timeless Quality’ the Corporate World refuses to play. And, we can pay homage to the “Make Believe Ballroom” soon to be hosted by Willie D.

We know what Good Radio is all about, and we’re heading that way … even if it is a little step here and a little step there. Eventually, when we get the financial resources behind us here at America’s Coast to Coast --- we will have the talent resources of people who will be flocking to our doorstep wanting to be a part of that ‘Lost Freedom’ of an imagination creating that ‘Theater of the Mind’ entertainment for a very receptive audience from "Eight to Eighty."
